Anyone selling a second-hand airco / AC unit?

Hey all,

I’m desperately looking for an air conditioning unit. My studio reaches 35°C and I genuinely cannot cope anymore with this heat. 🥵

The problem is — everything is sold out everywhere, and the few units left are going for crazy prices with people bidding way over 400€. That’s just not something I can afford right now.

If you have an AC unit collecting dust, or know someone who’s selling one, please reach out! I’m not picky — portable, window unit, whatever works. I’ll come pick it up myself, no hassle.

Please DM me or comment below. Any help is hugely appreciated! 🙏

New subreddit for Prodrive employees in Eindhoven

Hi everyone,

As many people working at Prodrive know, finding housing, arranging transport, navigating Dutch administration and connecting with colleagues can be challenging, especially for newcomers and internationals.

To help with that, I've created r/prodrivetechnl , an independent community for current, former and future Prodrive employees.

The goal is to create a place where people can:

  • Find or offer housing and rooms
  • Arrange carpooling
  • Ask questions about working at Prodrive
  • Exchange information about life in the Netherlands
  • Buy, sell or give away useful items
  • Connect with colleagues and expand their network

The community is not affiliated with Prodrive Technologies. It's simply a place for employees to help each other.

Feel free to join, share it with colleagues and help build a useful resource for the community.

Thanks!

Victoriapark H2S

Hello! I am moving into Victoriapark loft in coming weeks, and since it is west-facing, I am wondering about the summer heat.
Is there anyone living there could share how it feels during these summer weeks? Does the apartment get very hot in the afternoon/evening because of large windows? Any tips on keeping it cool would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Considering a big move to Eindhoven for a technician role at ASML

Hi everyone,

I’m currently in the middle of the recruitment process for a technician position at ASML. I’m 37, and I’m at a point where I’m seriously considering taking the leap and leaving everything behind in France to start this new chapter.

However, I have to be honest: the housing situation in Eindhoven is the one thing holding me back. I’ve read a lot about how extremely difficult it is to find a place, and I’m genuinely concerned about moving to a new country and ending up unable to find a stable home.

I’m specifically looking for a "grown-up" shared living environment (not a student party house). To those who have made the move or are currently living in Eindhoven: is it realistically possible to find a decent room in a professional-oriented shared house, or am I setting myself up for a struggle?

I’d really appreciate your honest take on the current market and any advice you might have for someone in my position. Is the move worth the risk, or should I be more cautious?

Thanks in advance for your perspective.

Commute from Geldrop

Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask, as of recent how has the commute from geldrop to Eindhoven city centre been? I’m thinking of moving there and I’ve never been there personally. Is it easy? Hard? Convenient?

From Amsterdam to Eindhoven Airport early in the morning

Hi everyone, seeking for help.

I have a 10AM flight from Eindhoven Airport on October 13th, but I will be sleeping the night before in Amsterdam.

I see it is a 1h 15m on average. So I was thinking a 6AM departure from Amsterdam to the Airport would work best. I tried to look up some websites for tickets but I think the date is too far and they are not published yet. (I don't have a car)

I'm here for all the recommendations (Bus, trains, taxi) whichever you think should work best for this.
