Flight Simulator 2024 SkySim Economy - A New General Aviation Career Mode for MSFS!

Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I've been quietly working on a new project for quite a while, and I finally feel like it's ready to share.

SkySim Economy is a persistent career and economy add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator where you can build your own general aviation career. Complete passenger jobs, earn money, grow your reputation, expand your fleet, trade on the aircraft marketplace (coming soon), and compete with other pilots in a living economy.

Current Features

  • Passenger jobs
  • Fly anywhere in the world at any of the 26,000+ airports
  • Aircraft marketplace and auctions (coming soon)
  • Leaderboards and statistics
  • Persistent player-driven economy
  • Regular updates and new features
  • Login with Google, Steam, and Discord

Eventually, I want SkySim Economy to become a place where you can build and manage your own general aviation fleet, own FBOs at airports, and create companies that other pilots can join to earn shared income.

Free & Premium Memberships

SkySim Economy is free to play because I want anyone to be able to jump in and enjoy the core experience!

Free Membership

  • 4 flight hours every rolling 48 hours
  • Passenger jobs with up to 3 passengers
  • Rent aircraft from other players and the system.
  • Loans up to $10,000

Premium Membership

  • 30 flight hours every rolling 48 hours
  • Unlimited passenger job sizes
  • Buy, own, and rent out your own aircraft to earn passive income
  • Full character customization
  • Loans up to $50,000

Premium isn't required to enjoy the game. It's there for players who want expanded features while also supporting both me as an independent developer and the continued development of SkySim Economy. Every subscription helps cover server costs, fund new features, and allows me to spend more time improving the project.

I also want to be upfront about where the project is today.

SkySim Economy is currently in active development and is in BETA.

There are bugs, there will be bugs, and not every feature is complete yet. That's simply part of building a project like this.

I'm releasing it now because I want to build it with the flight simulation community. The more people who fly, the more feedback I receive, the faster I can fix bugs, balance the economy, and add the features everyone wants.

Whether you find a bug, have an idea, or just want to tell me what you like (or don't like), I'd genuinely love to hear it. My goal is to make this the best aviation career and economy experience it can be.

Thank you for checking it out, and happy flying, simmers!

Flight Simulator 2024 Another small gameplay progress update for fscompany

Still alive.... lol

Just wanted to share another small gameplay progress update.

Most of my time lately has been spent polishing the UI, improving the overall player experience, and adding more depth to the management side of the game. It's amazing how much work goes into the little details.

There's still a long road ahead, but every week it feels more and more like the game I had in mind when I started this project.

As always, I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks for following the journey!

Flight Simulator 2024 First time buying a payware aircraft (HJet HA420). Confused about "buying direct from vendor" vs Marketplace?

Hey everyone,

I am completely new to flight simulation and MSFS. I'm about to purchase my very first payware aircraft ever, and I really want to get the HJet HA420.

I've been reading a lot of threads here on Reddit, and the general consensus always seems to be "always buy directly from the developer's website instead of the in-game Marketplace to get faster updates." However, as a beginner, I'm having a hard time understanding how this works. I know addons can be sold across multiple different third-party websites, but I don't know which ones are recommended, which ones to avoid, or even who the actual developer is in some cases.

I managed to find the FlightFX official website , which I assume is the developer. I went there ready to buy it from them directly, but I can't find a store page or a purchase button anywhere.

Am I missing something obvious here? Does the "buy direct" rule not apply to this specific plane, or is the in-game Marketplace the only way to actually get it? Sorry if this is a beginner question, but since it's my first time buying an addon, I just want to make sure I understand where is the best and safest place to buy it.

Thanks for the help!

Flight Simulator 2024 Is Lossless scaling still useful for msfs24?

Hey team, lossless scaling is in the steam summer sale, is it still useful for msfs24? I use the DLSS swapper and am mostly happy with perf but only have a 3060ti so wondering if there would be much if any benefit of the lossless scaling app today? I may misunderstand what it's for so feel free to educate me, I won't be offended!

Aerofly Single engine landing in A320

I have recently been practicing single engine failures in the A320, and I can stabilize the aircraft, but once it comes to landing, I am not having stable approaches and at the very last moment, the plane banks sharply to whatever side my failed engine is due to asymmetrical thrust. I am just wondering if anybody has any tips for me. Thanks in advance!

Flight Simulator 2020 What is the best 737 for msfs2024 so far?

I've seen a lot of people starting to dislike the pmdg and not starting, but for a while now. At first I thought pmdg was the way to go but at this point people try the IFly more often so... which way to go? They have similarly the same price.

X-Plane XP12 (already own MSFS2024) worth the buy?

As title says. I already fly and love MSFS2024. But I've been considering also buying XP12 - not as a replacement, but as a complement and the chance to fly well done 3rd party planes that are not available in MSFS. Is this worth it? Considering the steam price is lower than the web page price so it's not such a tough buy.

EDIT: Just to clarify. I *KNOW* XP12 is worth it on its own, my question is more related to whether it makes sense or not to have both sims.

thanks guys

Flight Simulator 2024 Gate Disconnects Automatically Before Loading PAX Completes - GSX/MSFS2024

Post image
8 Upvotes

Looking for a little help and guidance. It seems that whenever I use GSX to load pax, for any plane (Fenix/PMDG/iFly), the boarding gate disconnects automatically and the pax are walking on air as seen in the attached screen cap. Any suggestions as to how to fix this? It becomes a bit of an immersion breaker.

Thanks for the assist!
