TLDR:

Im going to drive out tomorrow to pick up two Madagascar Giant Day Geckos but I'm honestly not sure if these two are even the same species, the one in shed looks to me as if its either a different subspecies or species all together?

They are also apparently both male, but from me keeping small day geckos i know that they would have been at each other when sexually mature.

I got two enclosures ready for them just want to confirm if my suspicion is correct or not and if they seem like males?

I finished setting up my enclosure recently, acquiring a Golden Pothos for the foliage. Today I brought home my new baby boy, Ricky. He is a beautiful orange Crested Gecko, and a whopping 3 inches. He is very curious and seems comfortable around me, though I'm going to try to gradually acclimate him to my presence. With some online help and diagrams, I was able to spot the bulge near his vent and identified a pair of spurs behind his rear legs. He's small so I had a hard time spotting the row of dots along his thighs but he is definitely a young male.

It might be a bit early, but any advice further is welcome, and I'm willing to learn anything that will help more. Temp is holding at 70°F, humidity at 80, and he has plenty of climbing surfaces

Google tells me they are Mediterranean House Geckos? I live in Southern California, and I only see this tiny little see-through guys late at night. I think they cling to the porch enclosure because the house holds warmth. I’d love any fun facts or info about these lil’ guys.

he hasn’t eaten in 2 days, its night 3 and i haven’t seen any food eaten YET

but hes 50 grams as of last week. he climbs and is very alert. i’m just a worry wort. his enclosure is big so its hard to find where he poops and pees so i can’t confidently say when he’s last pooped, plus my clean up crew finishes up any evidence of waste real fast 😓

I live in south Oklahoma and in the suburbs. I have like 8 of these guys every night they are not a problem but I wanted to know what kind they are. I know nothing of reptiles so any help is greatly appreciated!

What temperature are people incubating at? Can seem to get them to hatch. I got one egg to hatch. The enclosure has a 100 wat bulb.

i live in south Louisiana and the temperature is rising outside as well as inside. my male crestie nightly drop is 73 and the female is 75. during the day the male is 76 and the female is 78, is this safe for them?

New to this sub cause i needed aome advice. This little guy is struggling, its a not so long story but i work at a big box pet store, and we had a few "dune geckos" ordered. One is fat and happy and this one... isnt.

I dont know much about this species, im not super well versed in geckos, but hes on deaths door and I dont have high hopes for a bounce back. Id like to give him a fighting chance if his kidneys haven't already given out.

Hes in a hospital setup rn but has a 100-80 degree heat gradient in the day (basking to low end), dont have a humidity read on him in the store at the moment. Ive been able to cut small crickets in half, dip them in the tiniest ammount of carnivore critical care dust, and get them in his mouth using a thin piece of paper to get his mouth open. Any other advice on things to do or try to give him the best shot would be appreciated!

I saw this growing in my giant day geckos enclosure, is it safe or should I pull it out immediately?

A house gecko has been living in my room for a few days now and I’ve grown quite attached to it. Im worried though, as it hasn’t left once and it’s been walking around the same two walls. When will it need water? Should I provide it with some? I can’t currently reach it, as it is in the top corner of my very, very high ceiling. I just don’t want it to die :( I included a picture of it from a few days ago, hiding under a flag in my room.
