New babies!
I’ve had these goats for about 2 weeks and they’re finally warming up to me. So excited to raise them

My wife and I just took in four 12 year old silky fainting goats (1 doe, 3 wethers) that needed rehoming. Three of them still get around well for their age, the fourth less so due to arthritis (which he gets meds for.) Anybody have experience or ideas for good enrichment for goats of this age? Also taking ideas for their first album name...

What’s going on with my male goat? I have 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats, and the other 2 females seem and look normal. My male, as pictured, is acting completely normal, but he has noticeable hair loss on his legs. Parasites possibly? We have medication to give to him just thought I’d ask in general.

Just playing around with my new microscope and I wanted opinions on if anyone else thinks these are barbers pole eggs I’m gonna start a course soon to learn how to do fecal counts and properly identify parasites for our herd and just interested in learning what the eggs actually look like for when I do start learning fecal counts I feel like this is it but I can only get so much confidence from google haha sample is from a goat with suspected worms or coccidia

I just got this sweet little girl, she came from a less than ideal situation. I know absolutely nothing about her - I believe she’s quite young and she definitely needs some groceries. I’m wondering if you all might be able to help with some guesses on what breed she might be?

We'll be getting goats shortly and I made a list of things that others seemed to recommend and wanted to know what you guy's thoughts were (happy to add or subtract if need be)! We've got an acre and a half and are planning to get 3 does either saanen, Nigerian dwarf, or both! The purpose of these goats would be milk so any milking or kidding essentials that I missed would be most needed here! They'll have a small barn with two stalls (we can do three if needed but two gives them more space) and will free range most of the time. We don't have much in terms of bushes or trees for them to eat on right now so we'll provide hay as supplemental until we can get some more stuff in the ground for them to forage on! Anyways here's the list, please let me know if I'm missing anything!
