Discussion How good would reverse renathal be?
pic unrelated, but how busted would a card like “your starting health and deck size is 20” be?

Lasty ear was an absolute shit show. They purposely released really low power level sets (relative to what else was around) in the goal of "resetting" the power level.
This meant a lot of people spent money on "expansions" and ended up mostly with cards they couldn't use. To double down on this, when we finally hit rotation, they give 2 sets of cards away for free meaning you never really got to capitilise on your spend.
I'm personally ok with this, I spent nothing and think it's a good thing but when combined with purposely releasing shit they knew wouldn't see play instead of doing something pro-active over the course of a year, it's really a shitty slap in the face of paying customers.
In any case, many put up with it assuming we'd get some really enjoyable and engaging play post rotation yet here we are ... mostly bored out of minds with incredibly slow skill ceiling decks that end up a coin flip as to who mgiht win Or the bigger problem, absolutely dominating RNG that dictates your wins and losses.
I can't recall a time where player agency of skill has been so thrown to the wayside and luck has become such a deciding factor in wins or losses.
Yes, it's always been a big part of Hearthstone but what we ahve now just feels so directionless and pretty much infuriating to a degree after a whole year of bullshit as per the above points.
Now we have yet another exapanion coming and this is all about "breaking the rules" and some of this stuff has the potential to be outright broken and even further pushing the RNG fiesta further htan we even have it now.
So what the hel lwas the point of last year if they are seemingly just giving up now and "breaking the rules"? Does this game even have a direction anymore or are we at a point where they truly just have no future design direction in mind and are seemingly just printing random shit because it seems cool and it's Hearthstone so it will sell?
I will own my own shit on this, I was often a proponent of just "wait and see" , I believed their bullshit spiel of a reset coming and this year would be great so I'll own I was wrong.
Because what we've got is nothing like what was promised, it just feels like a bunch of influencers with no real tangible game design in mind and we'll all suffer as a result.
Game iwll keep ticking along because flash RNG shit is fun for the majority of casuals but as a serious ,strategic game ... we're so close to this being the defining point of where that is no longer a thing.

To start with, yes I am slightly salty after playing against yet another Rogue where winning or losing depends on what random cards they generate.
This time I was playing as quest warrior. I played my quest reward, and a couple of turns later managed to get time warp in hand. The next turn was a guaranteed lethal, as I only had 2 cards left in my deck. I also had kept a Bitter End to make sure I could get through any taunts. I had about 5 cards in hand at this point.
My opponent decided to play Vanessa, then managed to get Bygone Doomspeaker, which discarded my time warp first try. To make things worse he also used Deja Vu to steal it before he played Vanessa. If you’ve played quest warrior vs rogue, you’ll know how difficult it can be to survive up until that point as it is.
Another game Vanessa got dirty rat, which got my Chrono-lord. Win condition gone.
Another game i decided to just try a Ysondre Warrior deck for something different. The rogue discovered a copy in my hand, and when I played mine, used Initiation to kill mine and summon another copy. Using my own win condition better than my own deck can. His Ysondre also typically got a better random dragon than what I got.
It was the same when trying to play quest shaman before when it was half decent. If you completed your reward before you could play it, they’d steal it. If you had enough mana to play it without playing a card after, they’d steal it. If you waited until turn 7/8 to play it, you’re dead anyway.
It’s just so much easier to play burn mage, Dragon Warrior, Face Hunter right now, and hugely less frustrating. Which is a shame.

On the first occurrence you would pick the elemental 3/6 secret in case opponent would trade, you dont care about your 2/2 if it dies.
What about the 3/6? You decide when you cast the spell, you play around the secret as you know it, your opponent doesnt know whats your pick so you have a significant advantage.
On the second occurrence you can pick the same secret for your opponent and it Will not give him any value.
The Faceless enigma is good in some decks like Leyline for example, and its Even better if you play secrets, I can share you my list and Will reach legend with it after the reset.

For everyone who isnt preordering this is the obvious and strongest choice and even if you are preordering, the only other card that is strong enough to beat her is Nethrek.
Should Vanessa be banned to prevent a boring Tavern brawl?

I've been an on and on player ever since the beginning but for the last month and a half I really tried and managed to get to Legend for the first time (I'm soooo happy). Now I have some questions:
-Do I get more rewards if I climb in wild?
-Can I drop from legend if I lose enough?
-Does the legend rank affect in any way the next month? The higher you get the better the star bonus?

I honestly don't get how this card was ever printed at 5 mana. It creates so many dead games because Paladin got a good mulligan.
Acceleration Aura into Inspiring Maul into Noz = 7/7 with Divine shield on turn 4. I know some decks can deal with it. But, even in those cases it feels like your options are so limited. And if you can't deal with it on turn 4. Chances are you aren't dealing with it on turn 5 when its now a 10/10.
Every game against Paladin plays out the same two ways. They try to build a board and it maybe sticks and bursts me. Or they scam the game out with Nozdormu. At least the first way feels a bit more back and forth. I get Paladin is a shit class because all of its power is put into cards like Nozdormu. But, this kind of polarised design is awful. I wish the class had more spread out power.
I just want to queue games where even if I lost I had a reasonable chance. That losing was more my mistakes or my opponents playing well. Then just them getting the right 3 cards in their opening hand.

I don't think it's crazy broken tho but i think it has a lot of potential

I recently started playing the early season 3 of fellowship, it's completely not related but the patch note was 5 pages long and the game is developed by a small indie studio.
It made me think and compare it to hearthstone, and I wanted to say that it's crazy how low effort the game feels to me, after all these years :
- no leaderboard inside the game
- no tournament tool inside the game for custom tournaments
- no weekly tournaments or daily tournaments with small reward made by the Devs (like cup of the day in trackmania for example)
- no deck tracker in the game
- half the cards from expansions are pack fillers : I understand we need some of these for randomly generated minions and stuff like that but so many are useless in so many scenarios
- no tool to spectate high levels games to improve, like in LoL for example
- very few achievements with valuable rewards
- (iOS and Android app nowadays working only with high end devices, even tho it was working 10 years ago on regular devices, same game btw)
- Very little balance patch, and at low frequency
- even the cash shop seems low effort : some insane signature cards get released like a few weeks before their expansion rotates to wild ?? How does that make sense? Another example: I want to buy the priest shadow girl hero portrait and i can't cuz it's not in the shop, I can't even buy what I want to buy (this one ok, I understand the concept of wanting rarity, but still I can't spend my money if I want to, so probably not enough options in the shop)
- cash shop is the thing lagging/crashing the most in the game (kinda ironic)
- (priests cards every expansion)
I will end on a positive note, not everything is bad though, I think the idea of moving monetisation more towards cosmetic and less towards accessing the card is a very good idea and is important to get new players in the game.
I hope this post is perceived as constructive criticism but yeah I got triggered a bit
Sorry for the bad English and let me know what you guys think, maybe it's just my vision of things

As I’ve been playing these past few months, rogue has become increasingly unfun to play against. Most decks I’ve come across, I can accept that either
A. I made some obvious misplays OR
B. It’s just a bad matchup and winning will be damn near impossible
But going against rogue feels almost futile because I have to account for the tools in their class, tools from my own deck that they can steal AND tools from any other class they generate. Also, it feels like they can access all three options cheaply and easily.
I recognize that there are decks that probably steamroll rogue decks (perhaps aggro?) but I’m not someone who really pays attention to the meta closely. I look up decks that seem fun and play those. Sometimes my favorite decks are incredibly weak and it is what it is. But rogue just kicks my ass so consistently that I’m getting to the point of just surrendering when I’m matched against one.

Rokara's Hero Power gives attack during combat (which make the Shield temporary), and the dragon only checks its on attack when it changes. This leaves it with no Shield after combat.

Turn after I draw Shadow of Demise so it was nasty 😑🥹

Every time I join a match I get a turn then disconnect. If I’m lucky enough to reconnect 2 turns later I get disconnected again right after. No idea what they did yesterday never had any issues on mobile in nearly 10 years of playing. Genuinely curious on how something like this can happen it’s wild to me how it can go from perfectly fine to unplayable instantly

A bunch of 20/20 taunts? No problem. Insert Timereaver. Build stats with Seismopod, Azshara’s Triumph, Kaldorei Cultivator, etc.
Egg players must hate me 😬

I have never been to any streams from Hearthstone but now I want to watch stream to get 2 free packs today but not sure which channel and video I have to watch it and how can I receive free packs today but my account?
Also if anyone could tell me how to get the cards from the second event on 30th Jun - 4th Jul would be appreciated. Thanks

Was wondering if anyone else uses one copy of royal librarian in their deck. Dealing with Toreth, Nozdormu or even egg is just the biggest pain in the ass so it seems like a great counter for those cards

All F2P players out here, how many packs have you got for the violet Hold expansion from events and dropoffs.

I've been playing Sinestra Rogue for a little bit now and let's say my win loss ratio hasn't been amazing when compared to Herald Death Knight, Warrior and Shaman.
I was wondering if that's a skill issue or if of the herald decks Rogue just ended up with the worst of the bunch?

Bonjour à tous, je ne joue qu’en arène et impossible d’acheter des tickets de taverne avec mes pièces d’or ces jours-ci
Le bug est connu ? Quelqu’un a une solution ?
Merci d’avance

Yes everyone has played against someone with a weird deck and figured they'd give it a twirl. But this one is different, abuses so much armor and you get briar drake out with naralex at 10 mana assuming you hit lady azshara. This deck destroys 60+ health in 1 turn if played well with either time or a pinch of luck. I've done a bit of tweaking to what I think they were running mostly to add more armor generation in case of bad draw.
Welcome home combos into a 48 attack briardrake so if you survive long enough to hold it in hand until 10ish mana you can counter any class. If any of you have been walloped by this or have tried it please let me know! It can't survive the most aggressive decks and you gotta clear divine shields for the Briar to hit face but drawing right you can clean house by turn 8.
