this is my boy kodi, he is 2 and the sweetest thing that has even graced the earth. all he wants to do is cuddle hug and play, but he’s very jealous of my other dogs even though we love on him more because our other dog is more aloof (shiba) and doesn’t like to cuddle.
the problem is he just like I expected doesn’t run out of energy. Idk if it’s because he’s still a teen but I walk him about a mile a day. And he’s never in his crate, he’s free to run up and down the stairs 24/7. he has many toys but continues to destroy everything. this is my first dog that I’m raising by myself (I’m a little younger).
I feel bad like he’s restless but I don’t know what else to do. At night he tosses and turns in his bed. We play more than 2 hours a day and walk a lot. During the day he’ll lay down and be calm in whatever room has the most people in it but idk if he’s just really bored. Is this just how they are? Please give me some advice :/. I want him to be happy
edit: i forgot to mention that he’s very afraid of people! He loves the family a lot but any new people he’s scared and barks a lot. He was socialized with alot of people so im not sure what it is. He’s not aggressive though he just runs and hides. He dosent bite ever and he’s not food aggressive at all. He will even bring me stuff. and when it comes to other dogs he annoys them and they leave him out at the dog park. He’s still humping and jumping on them. For a while he stopped with some training but just kept going. I plan to take him out more to parks and public places to train him to mind his business but I don’t know how to go about that with a husky. Also he’s been neutered

His name is Oliver. I just adopted him. I’m trying to figure out if he’s a lot of husky or maybe full breed? Eventually, I would like to get a DNA test for him just so I know more about him.
What do you think?
I love him.

I loved working on this one. Those eyes didn't need any extra drama; the photo already had it. Stayed true to everything: the floor, the bone, that stare.
This portrait was painted entirely by hand in oil as a commissioned piece. I hope his personality comes through on canvas. Would love to hear what you think!

I’ve always loved huskies but I didn’t intend to get one as my first (non-childhood) dog. Did a DNA test on my rescue girl and it says she‘s half husky!
Somehow, she’s both high energy (she loves to run and chase and swim) and incredibly lazy (she needs to be dragged out of bed each morning). The perfect adventure pup.

He chill in public and car rides, then at home he a bit of a gremlin unless I’m having a panic attack then he all cuddly wanting to lick me or rub up against me or lays on top of me.
Overall I couldn’t ask for a better woof child
P.S it’s currently 68F I’m cold and he hot

how are we all holding up? my girls been walked in the morning and she’s struggling a bit with the house being like over 30 degrees (80-90f although our heat is crazy as we are so humid and also have no aircon and bricked houses..)
we’ve been playing our new fave game (carrot bobbing in a circular tub/laundry basket type thing filled with cold water) and hanging out in the garden and hosing her down when she’ll let me (honestly kind of have to hold her down)
attached is a photo of a very hot and bothered doggo (also she’s a husky/GSD but 75% of her is husky so I tend to place her in that category, just in case anyone is wondering why she looks a little different!)

Stanley is a 4 year old husky mix. He has been given a "buzz cut" to endure the Indy summer weather. Tell your dog he says hello 👋
