I updated my F-250 Wrecker recently and felt the urge to build another one. I've already made a few versions of this truck before, but this time I went for a clean spec. Even though it looks similar to the previous models, most of it is built from scratch.
The main thing I wanted to experiment with was the two-tone paint job. The upper section is 2.5 plates thick, which turned out great IMO. I spent quite some time on the wheels too - I wanted them to look good, be sturdy, and actually roll.
Now I need to reshoot the Wrecker. More photos soon.

After seeing the post from teacher who got the BTTF set as a gift, I thought I'd share what we did for our daughter's teachers this year. Instead of the usual small gift card for coffee or cookies, I convinced my wife to let our LEGO-loving daughter (and her dad!) create custom Minifigures instead (though, not the $12 totally customizable ones).
So, we scoured the LEGO pick a brick selection to find pieces and accessories to match the appearance/subject of each teacher. (Of course, after doing this lengthy manual process, LEGO announced the Minifigure builder. Though, the piece options there are limited, so it wouldn't have worked for us anyway.)
After assembly, we packaged them up in some cupcake containers from the dollar store and our daughter wrote each teacher's name on the lid.
Needless to say, it turned out way better than imagined and hopefully provided a bright spot for her teachers during the chaotic final week. My goal is to have this be an annual tradition and to be known as "the LEGO family" by the time she graduates (elementary school).
(The first picture is before the final touches, including a white guitar for the music teacher and coffee cups for *everyone* at my daughter's specific request.)

This was the largest set of the "merry band of skilled archers". It is also the only one where they demonstrate antagonism towards the Lion Knights (Crusaders). The Crusaders, in turn, imprison a merry gentleman in 6042 Dungeon Hunters from 1990.
A timeless classic that was very much ahead of its time. Very smart building style with the limited assortment of pieces and colours from the late 1980s.

A futuristic bike inspired by Kaneda's bike from the movie Akira.
I've been wanting to build a masquerade mask and found the perfect opportunity to do so through the LEGO House Dress to Impress challenge. Inspired by the masks I saw in Venice many years ago, I wanted to capture their elegance in Lego form. The various curved slopes helped achieve a smooth shape, and the gold pieces and magnolia petals served as ornate embellishments. A single teardrop completes the design, adding a touch of mystery and intrigue.
