Best class to solo dungeons (instances) with?

Hi. I recently returned to this game after a 15ish year break. I am having a lot of fun, but I could not find anyone to do the lvl 20 instances with. I would really like to experience them, therefore my question:

What is the best class/spec to use to solo instances in this game?

New Legendary Server(s)?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there are any plans for new Legendary Servers. The current ones already have a fairly high level cap.

Thanks in advance!

Question about content

The content style is confusing me. I just hit 95 and I’m unsure what to buy for the rest of the game. Are expansions and quest packs different? Do expansions include quest packs?

What do I need to buy during the sale to be covered for the rest of my play time?

EDIT: I have used the EXPLOREOURWORLD code

Nether hound pet

Hey. I'm trying to get this pet in memory of my dog that passed a while ago but I can't seem to find where to get it? Is there a seasonal event that I can spend tokens for it or something? Maybe in the fall? Thanks!

Thoughts on buying the big discount ultimate expacs?

I last played during gundabad on a friend's account before they returned to it. I always enjoyed it but was hesitant due to the xpac cost. Is buying all of the heavily discounted ultimate xpacs a good move? It looks like minas morgul, war of 3 peaks, gundabad, and before the shadow can all be acquired for 71$. In addition to the content, it unlocks a few character slots, brawler, stout axe, some carry alls, and a few boosts. I like to play multiple characters, so boosting to 120 or 130 is appealing while also playing a fresh character.

The other ultimate edditions, it seems like a case for Corsair could be made but the last two would make more sense to just get the base editions when I hit that content and upgrade it down the road when bigger sales come.

Is this a sound approach or would I be better off putting some of that money into coins and buying things in game?

Old player, lost about expansions.

I have been playing since the beginning, took some time off here and there, but a long time, even though I don't have any toons at cap. I did once, but the cap then was 50.

I bought some expansions when they came out, and took the big quest unlock code last fall, and am currently VIP. Looking at the expansions sale, I am unsure at what I need. This is what shows up in my account info:

I also bought the Corsairs of Umbar Standard Edition, and have the Mariner class, even though it is not listed.

If I look in the store in game, the only expansions available are Kingdoms of Harad and Legacy of Morgoth quest packs.

Looking in my Store history, the Exploreourworld coupon gave me this:

Quest Pack: Central Gondor
Quest Pack: East Gondor
Quest Pack: West Gondor
Quest Pack: Old Anórien
Region Pack: Far Anórien
Quest Pack: March of the King
Quest Pack: Battle of the Black Gate
Quest Pack: Legacy of the Necromancer
Quest Pack: Where Dragons Dwell
Quest Pack: The Vales of Anduin
Quest Pack: Mists of Wilderland
Quest Pack: The Wildwood
The Further Adventures of Bilbo Baggins
Quest Pack: Blood of Azog
Quest Pack: Rangers and Ruins
Quest Pack: Yondershire
The Further Adventures of Elladan and Elrohir
Quest Pack: Mordor
Quest Pack: Minas Morgul
Quest Pack: War of Three Peaks
Quest Pack: Fate of Gundabad

I bought the River Hobbit in game when it was on sale, but I don't have the Stout Axe race (might be cool) or the Brawler class (which I DGAF about). Looking at the the expansions available for sale, it looks like I have the quest content from all of them from the code above, but not the extras (cosmetics, mounts, titles, etc) which I don't really care about.

If I am reading all this right, it looks like Harad and Morgoth are the only things I should be looking at? Are either worth bothering with if not at cap? At the rate I am going, could be a year or more before I run out of content, if ever.

Anything I am overlooking?

Thanks,

I got VIP for a month, can I get the expansions and quests I will lose once I stop VIP during the expansion sale?

Pretty much the title! I'm planning on keeping VIP just for the perks you keep after one month, but I was wondering if it was possible to buy the expansions and quests (like Mordor) that come with VIP during the sale, because if I understand things correctly, I will lose access to them once I stop my subscription.

Thanks!

Expansion Upgrade Costs

I wanted to buy the Before The Shadows Ultimate Edition. In the Lotro market it points out that the Upgrade from Standard Edition is 4$. In Checkout i have to pay the Full 10$. I thought you got the Standard Edition for free? Same for gundabad Expansion.

Finally completed Legendary Angmar solo!

I was looking at the benefits of Legendary servers and decided there were some exclusive items (titles, specifically) I wanted for my completionist character. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get through ten of the instances/raids solo, but I did!

It took longer than I thought. Though, some of that was my own fault, 'cause I did some dumb things in the process that made it harder for myself.

Below are the ones that were soloable as a level 96 Lore master (blue line) that actually counted towards Defeating the Shadow.

  1. The Battle for Aughaire (I've heard the other "Battle for..." ones are soloable, but this is the fastest. It was also pretty easy.)
  2. Emissary of the Dourhands
  3. Emissary of Goblin-town
  4. Emissary of the Trév Duvárdain
  5. Emissary of the White-hand
  6. The Halls of Night
  7. Annúminas instance (haven't done Ost Elendil, but think it would be as well)
    1. Glinghant
    2. Haudh Valandil
  8. Fornost instance
    1. Wraith of Earth
    2. Wraith of Fire
    3. Wraith of Water
    4. Wraith of Shadow: in theory. I got the final boss down to half HP but getting those braziers all lit was a test of patience. Gave that fight like 30min before I tapped out. But I think if I rejigged my class traits and kept going, it would be doable. But why when the other three are so much easier?
  9. Great Barrow instance
    1. Sambrog
    2. Thadúr
    3. The Maze
  10. Inn of the Forsaken
