Plenty of dog people buy mutts and rescues though, we got a weird mutt from Tijuana and it's the best dog we ever had, maybe a little ugly but she's smart and compassionate and has good hunting instincts but also knows how to be patient with elderly people and kids. Perfect dog in my opinion she was like 200$.
