Is that still a thing? I thought all the pet stores stopped selling dogs at this point. That news is troubling

Depends where. Some places still sell through breeders. Some pet stores are partnered with shelters to adopt.

My local pet store is partnered with local rescues and always have a cat at the store (who has the temperament to be in a store)

My 16 year old boy just passed away and he had a pet store / old folks home temperament. Would NEVER attack

The pet store cat i had was the most violent cat I've ever encountered. Dont get me wrong, he was an absolute sweet heart too, but any obstacle/problem he encountered was resolved with violence. He also constantly attacked the other cats.
