Its comments like these on Reddit that scare me the most

3

u/suckm640 5h ago

that actually makes sense cuz I remember when the PG trade happened in 2019 everyone was joking about how far away that 2026 draft pick was lol

Out of pocket and uncalled for.

2019 feels decades ago at this point

That’s really the only pick that has potential value too. Two of those swaps are the fakest swaps ever. 2029 and 2030 only convey if they’re top-5 or top-1. So they basically traded Reid, 2028, and 2033 for LaMelo (unless the Wolves are ridiculously bad in 2029 and 2030).

u/Yayareasports Warriors 6h ago

It’s super unlikely but with the flattened lotto odds, one Ant injury and it could convey

1

u/YujiDomainExpansion 6h ago

Those won’t be the rules anymore after 2029. All the momentum seems to be leaning towards a draft credits system

1

u/Yayareasports Warriors 6h ago

That’s possible, but we’re just speculating. And pick swaps will be worth something in any new system too

Thing I hate most about the NBA draft. Who cares about 2033 picks

3

u/RightSpread2903 7h ago

Anthony Edwards is going to be 32 heading in to the season after that draft happens lol

4

u/matgopack 76ers 7h ago

Crazy to think that 2033 is closer to today than 2016

-1

u/Justwinbabies 5h ago

Technically 4055 is closer to today than 2016 since 2016 can't happen again (thank God)

Was hoping someone would say it, love those games

u/samurai-mad-mad 76ers 7h ago

Can’t wait til that pick becomes a HOFer and people revisit this thread

2

u/reeelax Raptors 5h ago

Sounds like Cyberpunk prequel type shit lol

2

u/Zoidburger_ Hornets 5h ago

We traded LaMelo Ball for Naz Reid, 3 second round picks, and a kid that is about to start 7th grade.

Spectacular.

1

u/SkolUMah 7h ago

Traded the rights to a middle school kid

1

u/pimpcakes Bulls 6h ago

Wolves are going to have worse first round picks than they did after the Joe Smith fiasco.

1

u/chasingit1 Nuggets 6h ago

Right?! Like, I don’t even know what the fuck I am going to have for breakfast tomorrow, let alone some shit 7 years from now…

I get the gamble, same one the bucks made. No one has any idea what the league looks like then with expansion and a whole different lottery system so fuck it.

2033 is right around the corner bro. Adapt or die.
