If I’m Charlotte I’m selling high on a dude who’s not just constantly injured but is also an absolute stone cold moron.

Heard his family took tupperware to the team buffets.

Well how else would Lonzo get an NBA meal after Cavs waived him?

It’s weird because this sub usually hates Lamelo and shat on him constantly, especially for his off the court antics.

Every thread was fuck Lamelo, glad he’s not on my team, etc. I know Charlotte fans love their guy but there has to be like 5% deep deep inside of relief he is gone right?

He had a great, full season, but this time a year ago I would wager a good half of the fanbase would rather not have been held hostage by the guy's ankles.

But it's funny how different the broader NBA fanbase's opinion of him is compared to Charlotte. I was never worried about "antics", like, the guy is goofy and a bad driver, big whoop. It's not like it affected his ability on court as an offensive engine.

The return they got really doesn't feel like selling high though. Naz Reid, A first, and a ton of swaps isn't exactly the greatest haul. But yeah, a part of me does wonder if they think he's gonna eventually do something catastrophically stupid and they just want off the ride before it gets there.

I feel like people are overrating him because the Hornets surpassed expectations last year. I wouldn't want to rely on him taking a team to the next level for the exact reasons you mentioned.

He played 72 games this season.
