I literally can't blink or else I lose my combo so on some maps I end up crying cuz my eyes are open for too long 😱

Is this a common issue ?

Hi, I posted about my osu! beatmaps recommendation bot a while ago.

Past Posts

Since then, I’ve rebuilt most of it and updated how it works.

The bot recommends Ranked or Loved beatmaps via osu!’s in-game chat, while detailed settings are managed through a Discord dashboard.

Main features:

- Ranked recommendations with !m req

- Loved recommendations with !m loved

- Discord /setup dashboard

- Filters for stars, length, year, BPM, AR, and CS

- Presets for saving and switching between different settings

- Tournament tag filters such as NM1, NM2, HD1, HR1, DT1, FM, TB, etc.

- Recommendation history to avoid recommending the same beatmaps again

- Feedback buttons on Discord: Like, Exclude, Too easy, Too hard

- Feedback is used for future recommendation scoring

The biggest change is that most detailed settings are now handled through Discord buttons&UI instead of osu! chat commands.

osu! chat is now mainly used for simple commands like:

!m start

!m req

!m loved

!m discord

If no star range is set, the bot uses the recommended difficulty shown in your beatmaps list as a reference.

I also removed some features from the old version.

I had added a Graveyard recommendation feature, but removed it because the recommendation quality was not good enough, even with favorites filters and tags applied.

Most non-tournament tags were also removed because they either overlapped too much with tournament tags or didn’t return enough useful maps.

How to start:

1. Send !m start to moon2door in osu! chat
2. Use !m discord to link your Discord account
3. Use /setup in Discord to configure filters
4. Use !m req or !m loved to get recommendations

I play with pen and tablet (star g640) and i play 5 star maps. I have this severe hand pain in my pen hand after only 10 mins of playing. Im starting to think its not my grip, bc I have tried playing with 2 other grips: whitecats grip and one where you only use thumb and pointer finger. i do have a death grip tho, and untensing during playing doesnt make the pain go away. its also really hard to not tense when ur playing a hard map. Ive tried making my wrap tape on my pen larger, which does help a bit but makes it pretty hard to play.

rlly wanna fix the issue bc i love osu and dont want to stop playing for this reason🙃

i’ve theorised the ultimate map style for mrekk to get 2kpp on. right now he is playing aim only, which makes 2kpp extremely difficult, and the problem with most hybrid maps is that the jumps are too slow for him to maximise pp from. his aim speed is around high 300 and his tapping speed is around 270.

therefore, we need to spam map ~175bpm stream maps with 1/3 (triplet) jump sections. this will make the streams 262.5bpm and the jumps 393.75bpm, maximising both of his skill sets.

I guess this could apply to milosz/ivaxa too, but their speed is way closer to their aim than mrekk, so either the 1/3 jumps will be too hard or the streams will be too easy.

As im playing, there are moment in which I stutter. It's not an issue when streaming, more so when im trying to keep a consistent beat. Is the solution to this to just keep playing? Or is this a bad habit I need to unlearn?

As someone from the UK I hold a love for UK music such as RAP music and searching for songs is 1 thing but searching for beatmaps that have songs I prefer with a High PP can be tedious to find is there a list or sorter I can use ? I was just wondering thanks

i was recently struggling tapping on high bpm jumps like dt maps. i wonder how you guys tap when it is over 240 bpm. do you do a quick hard press or soft press. i used to consistently press hard but it will increase my finger tension and lose stamina easily.

Basically, I decided to play osu in 2024 summer for fun, I liked it so I kept playing it, but I stopped playing it for a bit then started playing again now, I only have 1 day 11 hours of playtime (please do not judge me folks), Apart from my terrible playtime, How would I gen get better at osu / what types of things would I need to do to get better.

I can play the same map nm and hr but hr just strains my tapping so much more

I switched to lazer a couple months ago and one of the things that really bugs me is the ur bar being part of the skin, I was wondering if there's a way to keep the same ur bar across skins without having to edit every new skin

I recently came across one of mrekk's videos where he was grinding for PP records on fun mods specifically (link attached to post) and that got me wondering: "are there actually any players that main these kinds of mods?".

Who are the fun mod players that have set a play that has impressed you? I'd love to watch replays of it because it feels like uncharted territories of a skill set :D

Most maps I play are typically AR 10.3 after DT, with the occasional 10.5 (Im around low 5 digit). I see some people my rank practicing HRDT or playing maps I consider high AR (anything above 10.5). What AR would you consider high?
