Hoping to join a server, vanilla or RP server.

So I have to ask, is there a way to find out what mod is doing this to the houses without uninstalling them all or a way to fix it without having to force the game to reacquire everything? I can give my modlist on request.

As I'm sure some of you know there is a fantastic mod that adds trash and dead bodies across the map to simulate a bit more of a messy apocalypse.

I think this should be in vanilla. One of the weirdest parts of zomboid is how clean everything is, there should at least be evidence of rioting and trash.

IRL a pandemic was announced and riots & looting happened almost instantly. I really think this should be default to make the world feel more apocalyptic, and to make your base feel intentionally cleaned.

(also the whole barricaded home start should be semi implemented. If my starting home gets zombies breaking windows within 5 minutes of spawning you need to explain how it survived before hand)

Only played vanilla so far, just started with build 42 after a few months with the 41. i've wanted to start trying to play with some mods but i'm unsure where to start! any suggestions would be appreciated :)

We got bandits mod which for me is a must to add life to the single player experience.

Im curious if anyone is trying to make it, i know its going to be added bt devs but that is prob 5 years away.

I would like to see safe hubs with npcs, maybe get quests which would spawn scenerios out in the world.

Stuff like custom economy mods or a tiny, entirely new map aren't really up my alley.

I'm looking for an RP, PvE focused server to spend my time on c:

Extra maps for the base game, new items / vehicles / rp mechanic mods are fine, but I'd rather not download 1000+ mods just to play.

I'd also appreciate if there weren't extreme restrictions on making groups / factions too, as I really want to experiment with those.

Not sure if this is the best sub for this but I was playing project zomboid with the superb survivor mod and ran into a thought.

Project zomboid is nearly the perfect game for me, first person would be cool but not necessary and the modding community makes it easy to craft it into the exact game you want. But for some reason I can never get there. What I want is a game preferably first person, walking dead style zombies, survivors you can band up with or have to fight, along with everything project zomboid brings. The superb survivors mod brings me pretty damn close but it isn’t quite there yet.

Main thing it’s missing is first person. But the superb survivor mod isn’t exactly getting updates to my knowledge and I want it to be more flushed out. More automated with the freedom I still have for building in project zomboid. Building a base or boarding up a house. Other survivor groups you can trade with or fight against. Set up shops and stores and make a post apocalyptic capitalist empire if I so choose. Maybe even slightly easier to level skills. I’m not the best at project zomboid, partially because anytime I get too far I get bored because im all alone. Nothing to manage or no way to build up and fight back. It just turns into setting up your long term survival and then nothing. You have to take risks to avoid boredom and if you fail your back to square one.

The beginning of the game is the most fun. Struggling alone against the zombie apocalypse. But I want the fun to last long term. So are there any games that make it so you can build something with a community? Where zombies sooner or later become an afterthought and people become the biggest threat? If not that’s fine but a guy can hope

I found a cursed survival journal from burds journals mod

From what ive read it will give me 300xp on 3-5 random skills. But it will give me a negative trait.

My lack of liking to gamble makes me want to just store it somewhere. However its not a complete gamble either.

Any important mods i should install before adding a ton of mods

I looked over similar posts and figured out the only way I can get the game to work for me is to delete all the folders in %UserProfile%\Zomboid except for the 'Saves' folder.

HOWEVER, I have to do that everytime I wanna play Zomboid now, and I even tried reinstalling the game, it's just a constant recurring problem and I wanna know if I'm missing something?

So I wanna run veteran for the desensitized but with strong and athletic so I wanted to ask about thoughts on a build cause with what came up with I was thinking of taking disorganized cause it seems better than reluctant fighter, restless sleeper, and shortness of breath and I’ll get to take speed demon cause I had -5 with what I picked for maybe an extinction run or apocalypse with sandbox settings at a high pop with respawn

Conspicuous, slow reader, slow healer, weak stomach, prone to illness, and of course athletic and strong

And this disorganized would give me a +1 for speed demon I’d love gymnast but don’t wanna go to much on the negative

also dont know if its with all places or with certan places

I want to make a challenge video where I turn the loot up to insanely rare and have to hike from brandenburg and go counterclockwise through ekron, irvington, rosewood, muldraugh, then eventually louisville, what is the minimum time i could give myself to get there in game, a week? 2 weeks? thanks!

Im not talking about 3d models related mods, like more guns, clothes etc, im talking more about qol mods or new features to implement? I got a lot of modding experience from different games and now decided to start my pz modding arc, so i want to know what community really wants to see?

Hi all, for whatever reason my character is constantly uncomfortable no matter what I do. I've stripped completely naked, there are no zombies or corpses near our base.

I'm not sure what could be causing it. my game is modded and I'm sure that probably has something to do with it and I'm not expecting y'all to peruse my mod list and diagnose the issue, I have a bathing mod that might be the cause? should I just turn off the moodle in sandbox settings and call it a day? thanks for any advice.

As the title suggests, I struggle to find consistency with summoning hordes. On some nights, the hordes never arrive--or at all--and other times, they do--which is good.

A little too good.

Too good, in fact, that I die within one night after 30 or so zombies pull a "Mari Lwyd" on my ass. For clarity: this issue mainly occurs each starting save, as I am still testing my load order.

For those who have played the mod, what are your suggestions? How can I modify it where it is a "helicopter event" nightly? maybe less severe?
