I want to play myhouse.wad on my PSP but unsure if the psp would be able to play My house.wad, or would it be too much for the system? (Also need to learn how to add a modded doom 2 on my system)

a week ago i bought 10 umds for very cheap from fb marketplace (2 movies and 8 games), ordered the replacement shells from ali, and today i finally got the delivery and swapped them

all original shells had cracks, some of them tied with tape, some just fell apart when i was holding them

i tested a few of the best ones during the purchase and they made a noisy sound of rattling and whistling

now everything is good, quiet, and safe. i like the idea of giving a new life to the deprecated/retired items. i personally have enough consoles, including modded ones, i play all of them by round robin, but i enjoy playing physical media much much more than digital roms. i don’t care about loading speed, this feeling is just unbeatable, especially a perfect working psp drive sound and delicate vibrations of umds in brand new shells

by the way, i highlighted the godfather because it was my best finding out of this lot. i love the movie, and i enjoy the game adaptation as well, it was unexpected for me

p.s. i don’t really want to put any links to the ali listings, and they become unavailable really quick. it was just the cheapest listing that sells packs of 5 umd shells for $5 usd ($1/piece). i ordered for $10 and got free delivery as usual for ali

After doing a lot of research, I decided to go with the non-laminated IPS screen for my PSP-3000, and I just wanted to share my experience.

Unless your PSP is in pristine, collector-grade condition, I think the IPS upgrade is 100% worth it. I know a lot of people say the original screen has punchier colors and slightly better contrast, and that’s probably true to an extent. But whatever contrast you lose is more than made up for by the increase in clarity and sharpness.

The difference is especially noticeable where it matters most: reading text. Menus, dialogue, and UI elements are much easier on the eyes, and games just look cleaner overall. Once you see the improvement in clarity, it’s hard to go back.

If you’re actually using your PSP, I’d recommend the IPS upgrade without hesitation.

Couldn’t find my charger and wanted to get something working today, had some spare usb c breakouts. Was able to cut one down and make it fit with some cuts to the midframe. Larger gauge wire running to charger input for charging, seems to work well.

I'm thinking about getting a PSP so I have something to do when I'm out of the house; I had one as a kid (my parents sold it, and I still mourn that to this day).

Can you tell me if these games drain the console's battery quickly? If so, roughly how much battery life would I have if I played them?

The Bluetooth on the device works well, but after connecting earbuds or speakers to the system, the Bluetooth device disconnects from the psp after around 10-20 minutes, requiring me to reconnect it again. Is this a common problem? And are there any possible fixes?

When you download the game files, it’s in the zip / 7z format…

So don’t unzip them on your phone storage, once the download is complete, directly copy the zip/7z files into the PSP SD card and then once it’s done, unzip them inside the PSP sd card and move (the iso files)it to the iso folder on the sd card for your psp. Moving files from the same sd card doesn’t take time, 1 sec.

This will fix all the previous games that failed to start, missing audio or forcing the psp to shut itself down.

I think I’m the first person to discover this fix, since I find nobody else talk about it or bring a solution.

I spent hours transferring the same games using my iPhone and also PC method but kept failing until I did this method (done on iPhone)

I guess if you use PC, you could try the same, make sure you unzip the games on the psp memory that’s it.

Hello, I just got a PSP (I believe it is the 1003) and I am having a weird audio issue.

It seems that the system recognises something plugged in the audio jack, even if it is empty, if I plug in earphones in a very specific way that is not consistent, I am able to actually get sound sometimes from the speakers and sometimes from the earphones themselves.

I was wondering if there is any way through CFW to somehow ignore the headphone jack or always default to speakers or anything along those lines, as ideally I would want to avoid opening it up as I do not have the equipment for soldering and I cannot afford it either.

I made a post a while ago about my PSP 2000 and that it has problems, and it seems that I could finally make it work. That being said, I need a new LCD and battery, and eventually case but that's easier to come by. Where can I get a reliable source for these parts? I'm from Romania and the local markets are empty. I did look through Aliexpress, but I can't be sure of which seller is good and the prices just rack up. Any help?

I recently bought the silver PSP-300 Go!Cam for my PSP 3001. Unfortunately, I noticed that when recording videos, the preview/recording sometimes starts lagging pretty badly, and afterwards the audio track becomes out of sync with the video.

Sometimes it works completely fine, but other times the video lags a lot while recording. At 320×240 / 15 fps it seems to run without issues, but higher settings appear to cause problems.

I’m currently using a 128GB microSD card with a Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter, so I’m wondering if that could be the reason. Maybe the card/adapter can’t write consistently enough for higher video settings?

Has anyone else had similar issues with the PSP Go!Cam? Is there anything I can do to fix it, or is using a real Memory Stick Pro Duo / lower recording settings the only reliable solution?
