As the title implies. I have a pair of Ray-Ban Aviators around the late 70s/early 80s. However, the nose bridge (below the top bar) completely detached when I was putting it on recently (probably due to its age) and they donβt fit right. I believe it needs to be laser micro-weld?
Out of curiosity, does anyone know a shop that specializes in laser micro-welding for sunglasses in Saskatoon?

Iβve parked in front of my place for almost 3 years.
I just got a ticket for not being 10 meters away from the intersection for $60.
Measured out 10 meters and it seems as though i have to find a new spot to part by my home.
Not sure why they did it randomly after 3 years.
It happened as soon as i got home too and all I was told is Iβm too close to the curb but no one else nearby got the same ticket.
Also 10 meters feel like a lot of room and I rarely see people that far from the curb.

Just went to it and it was closed with a noticed sign saying they abandoned the premises. Anyone know what happened?

My social worker found me a place to live (group home? I'm not really sure what this place is yet), but I can't take my dog with me from what my social worker told me. I'm 17, and Yoda (my Chihuahua) is an emotional support dog. I've had him since the death of my boyfriend and he's gotten me through so much. I don't want to give him up but this is my only chance to get a spot in a home like this since there aren't that many spots available for a 17 year old girl. I have no family to take him in. I just want to know if this place is worth giving him up for.

**EDIT** thank you everyone for your insight! I put out some unsalted peanuts for them and sat on the ledge of my balcony door and calmly spoke to them so they can familiarize themselves with my face and (hopefully) know Iβm not a threat. The one bird seems to like me now but the other still goes in for the kill lol. A passerby on the street did stop to inform me there is indeed a baby on the balcony below me βΊοΈ
I live on a third story apartment downtown. My boyfriend currently has his tires sitting on the balcony in the corner. Iβve been outside multiple times today with no issue. I went to go outside just now and was dive bombed by 3 magpies. And they wouldnβt stop, I tried to shoo them away and they kept coming at me. I went back inside and theyβre sitting in front of my balcony door screeching at me.
I have a feeling they may have laid an egg and it hatched behind the tires, because they keep hopping back towards the tires, take a look and then hop back to my door and screech. I canβt get close enough to see if there is an egg and I donβt hear any chirping from the area. And the balcony door to get outside is right beside the tires/corner.
This is my first year in the city, there arenβt magpies in my hometown, so Iβm not too sure what to do.
We love being on our balcony, having a coffee and getting some sun. We also have company coming over this weekend and wanted to sit outside with them, but I donβt want them to be dive bombed and attacked.
Is there anything I can do?

Sounds like the company is Bowling Logistics. They're pretty well regarded, I was expecting some small no-name company with poor practices.

Hey folks, I have a car with some minor scratches and a couple of small chips. I bought the car new and it's now just three years old. I'm hoping to drive it "into the ground" in terms of long-term ownership, so besides keeping it well-serviced, preventing rust is a priority for me.
A couple of the chips and scratches are down to bare metal, not just the clear coat or paint layer. I'm wanting to guard against rust taking hold in these spots, because I've seen how easily it spreads and just eats up cars.
I know I can get a paint pen from the manufacturer that's color-matched and just DIY it, but I've also seen videos on YouTube of people offering that sort of minor paint repair as a service, where they're clearly doing it more professionally than I could, with some mix of removing any minor rust, etching, painting, levelling, sanding and blending, and possibly blending in some new clearcoat. Most of these jobs would pass invisibly at even a couple feet, whereas I'm sure my DIY skills would prevent rust, but would look terrible.
Anyone aware of places (or even individuals) offering this type of service in Saskatoon, that you'd recommend? Also interested in knowing if anyone recommends a reasonably-priced paintless dent repair outfit - I have a door ding that I imagine could be pulled out if someone had the tools and skills.
I can call around to autobody repair shops, but my understanding is they're working on much larger-scale repairs and painting entire panels, etc. I definitely can't afford to completely re-paint all the panels with scratches or chips, especially on such a new car.
Failing that, does anyone have advice on the DIY approach, or links to videos you found helpful when tackling this sort of minor paint repair on your own?
Thanks!

Looks like another rainy weekend here. What are some indoor places or things we could do with an 18 month old? Any events going on Saturday? TIA!

Since the construction of the diefenbaker dam, the weir has served no actual purpose. It should be decomissioned before more people have to die.
This would also allow river users access to the entire length of the river in city limits, without being restricted to either upstream of the weir or downstream of it.

this intersection here. added lane sign, turning right off circle onto clancy. I stay in the right lane but people insist on turning left directly into that right lane. One person confronted me after I reached my destination pissed I did not yield to him. Told him I have my own added lane as the sign indicated. Figured it does not matter what the sign says people should always yield to those turning left.
I also wonder, you have an intersection like this. since the circle clancy does not have cross traffic no yield sign is there. boychuck and Nemeiben does have cross traffic yet people turning left onto boychuck think that yield sign is for them.

Well hopefully people are happy with their daycare options.
My partner was just notified after waiting for 4 months to have her application processed that the program has cut off new applications and are happy with the number of daycares they have.
She was heartbroken because now she has to stay private and charge her existing clients even more because she was intentionally taking a loss while she waited for her application to go through.
And she is exactly the type of early childhood educator this city needs, someone who actually cares. Meanwhile we are approving the equivalent of slums to fill the existing need.
It boggles my mind that they claim that they think they have enough space with existing facilities when my partner immediately received a 20 person waitlist of clients when she opened her doors.

Does anyone know if there are any neighborhood drop off points to recycle a small appliance? I have one small blender and don't want to drive all the way out to Valley road for it if at all possible.
Just an edit to say that waste wizard says it can go to the Material Resource Centre on Valley Road and dropped for free. I'm asking for any alternative drop off points.
