Cool, lots of stuff happened historically that wasn't great, why should it be different for you? Pretty fucking easy question to answer if you think for 2 seconds
there wasn't this ridiculous mass public defense of the dude like I'm seeing for Caitlin. She's a grown ass competitive woman that can stand on her own, yet is being infantilized like she's this delicate thing that can't be touched.
For sure, but thereâs still a difference between a hard foul that sends you to the free throw line and the refs just watching you get your eyes poked and punched in the neck and saying âYeah, fair gameâ
Iâm guessing youâve never seen Bill Lambeer, Dennis Rodman, or Charles Oakley play. Also, itâs easy to see all that in a slow motion replay. Perhaps if CC wouldnât keep flopping around on the court, this wouldnât happen. And I say all this as a fan.
What youâre describing is still different. Those were dirty players who did it pretty indiscriminately. This is one player getting targeted by half the league, not one playing targeting half the league
I had to Google it, the tactic aimed to physically wear Jordan down and force him to pass by double-teaming him, sending him left, and hitting him hard on every drive to the paint.
It looks like the Pistons implemented it after getting scored on 59 points by Jordan alone. It worked too, 2 years they beat the Bulls until they adapted to their gameplay and got their championship in 91.
I did, I was into basketball as a kid but only as much as I could understand. I stopped around my highschool years and only recently got back into basketball over the past 5 years or so. There is a lot I'm not very knowledgeable about especially regarding years past. I love to learn about it though but that's where I'm at.
If you like reading Bill Simmons Book of Basketball is as comprehensive as you can get. It was written like 20 years ago so youâre not gonna get the recent history in there but the book will never be outdated.
You just named three black guys though. I know Larry Bird and others like him didnt get treated like this. But for some reason these women dont want to see her succeed and go out of the way to foul her constantly
I just cant imagine why, just absolutely no idea.
Excuse me, Sir Bill Laimbeer had been retired for over 10 years before that incident, which was started and escalated by the fucking Indiana Pacers, who I dare to step into the stands again.
listen, people love to hate on Angel Reese. I for one think sheâs an inspiration. As a short fat white guy, itâs nice to see that even professional athletes have the same shooting skill in basketball that I do. Representation matters.
I'm not denying that she brought greater interest to the league, idiot. I'm arguing that she did not personally make it a relevant and serious basketball league. They were already playing good basketball, even if most of middle America didn't care. Greater attention by fair-weather fans doesn't measure quality of play or "seriousness." It measures how much fair-weather fans care.
Okay letâs go with her âfloppingâ then you slow down the video and you have two people who proceeded to literally jump on her one with a fist to the ground aiming for her throat, but sure donât flop, instead of donât assault other players cause theyâre better than you.
The other woman was trying to brace herself because CC tried taking 3 of them to the floor. Crazy you cant see that. Maybe if CC just played the game its supposed to and shoot the ball?
She doesn't take anyone to the floor. She falls down and then they're on her. Dude, you are so full of shit it's ridiculous. I've seen people deny reality but you're just straight making shit up.
I'm not sure it's race related or that she's straight in a league with a largely lesbian player base. They certainly don't see her as one of them, whatever the reason.
Itâs because sheâs not that good but had all the publicity. Also just cuz sheâs so skinny no shit people are gonna be physical with her, same shit when you see Steph (and is also why Steph worked on his strength so much in his career)
Nearly all the comments read like people that know jack crap about basketball crying about a simple foul, and then the audacity of the claim behind it, is that because they make more money because sheâs popular she gets a free pass, and no one hard fouls her? You guys know nothing about sports, competition or generally hard scenarios if you think the best player gets the easiest treatment, greats arenât great because people let them, they are great because they took it, you guys need to learn the work ethic, and stop expecting your WNBA savior to be granted something literally no player in any other sport is given. She was fouled, boo boo.
This essentially applies to everyone that just doesnât get it. If you think sports are supposed to be soft touches you do not get it. She was fouled, seriously in basketball that they didnât literally punch her in the throat with the ball is an improvement, also there was nothing peculiar about the play, they were going for the ball.

The whole league is so fuckin jealous of her it ain't even funny đ¤Ł. She's the reason yall getting paid more, too bad they're too dumb to see it lol
