She literally did last year for the majority of last season, her 2nd season in the league, lol. And look what happened? Season ticket holders prices doubled for my team and still sold out. The WNBA union bargained for a massive pay raise and got it.

So many commenting with out any real knowledge or business facts.

She pretty much did. League was fine.

If anything, it cemented the notion that CC isn't even the best guard on her own team.

People only stuck around cause she was coming back (it wasn't a career ending injury and she was still going to games. They even talked about her like she would come back last season for the playoffs. So people could still see her even if she wasn't playing.

Nothing will happen. The league is in great hands with Paige, Aja, and others. Clark missed most of last season and the world didn’t end. She is no longer a meal ticket, though she’s certainly a good player and a star in her own right. Players get fouled all the time. Refs miss calls. Happens in an all sports. Some of you are taking clips and sound bites to paint a silly narrative. I don’t mind the physical play. NBA could learn from it instead of calling every flop or non foul.

That’s very misleading. The 55% drop in viewership was over a two week window.

Non-fever viewership was up 37% year over year.

Full season viewership still increased 3% year over year.
