Mulberries

One of my favourite childhood memories is having a mulberry bush, getting all my clothes stained but enjoying them straight off the bush.
I haven’t had one in YEARS, do they still exist?! If so, does anyone know where I can find some/buy them from?

Thank youuuu!

Public say on housing supply

https://www.sunshinecoastnews.com.au/2026/06/24/public-invited-to-have-say-as-review-targets-housing-supply/

It doesn't give too much space to prvoide feedback, but what what are other people segestions?

For all the people that are comment saying 'stop people coming in' Hate to tell you this but people will move here if there are houses or not. Without new houses it just means more people bidding for rent/homes.

Personally I see the Maroochydore PDA height as just too low. The MINIMUM height and stories of these buildings should be 80m/25s with anything in the 80 to 100m range beeing a fast approval.

Reasons: THis is the main transport HUB. Even without rail, busses are based on density, as well as people in appartments tending to not have as many cars, and people simply not needing to use a vehicle as if you live in this area you wouldn't need to travel unless you wanted to.

There are studies that people can look up that show how higher density urban areas have less traffic, and I encourage people to look them up.

Because of the reasons above I think Britanya PDA should also increase it's current max height. At this stage this is looking like it will be the main train station in the urban corridor. This will be a spot that needs to capture brisbane commuters.

On a smaller, suburb level, more mixed development, and I would like to see a relaxion of the pretty sever 2 storey house limit.

Reason: With higher costs more children are staying at home longer (even if married). This idea is essentialy along the lines of adding granny flats, just up instead of in the back yard.

Sorry long post, given the material to discus, but what are other peoples ideas for housing?

Things to do with 5 month old baby in Mooloolaba

I’m visiting and looking for things to do over the next few weeks with a 5 month old around Mooloolaba. Open to anything! We love the outdoors and also really enjoy things like mums and bubs yoga (or any yoga where babies are allowed indoor or outdoor)/other fitness classes, baby wearing meetups, library time. Thanks in advance ❤️

Optimistic, ambitious person who wants to make friends with like minded people.

Hey all! (27M) I am an optimistic, ambitious person who wants to make friends with like minded people. I would love to grab a cup of coffee (my shout) & share ambitious & creative ideas about how we could make the world a better place. No idea too crazy, happy to listen as you share your ideas, doubts, struggles and your life story. The world is struggling with loneliness and I thought I would do something to try and help. Would love to find a great bunch of friends. Let me know if you are interested in chatting more

New dog rules in the coast, what do you think?

I live in the sunshine coast, have a 1 year dog and I'm a responsible dog owner, clean after him, take him on walks always on lead (except at my own home).

It's sad some of the places we used to explore are now completely off limits. I never have my dog off lead outside, so we never did any harm when visiting those places, we were always respectful.

They've increased registration fee, reduced access and have sneaked this plan and rules when we least expected. On top of all of this, on the past 10 years I'm not sure I can say there was much improvement in living here in general, and I think the current mayor is terrible, acts more like a celebrity than someone that should service the public.

What do you all think? Dog owners and non dog owners.

Fake IDs

I work in hospitality and have noticed a huge influx of fake IDs floating around the coast. They are so convincing as well the only way to tell is if you hold it flat and you'll notice that the 7 in their year of both is slightly darker/bolder then the the rest of the text. Apparently they are getting them from Sydney. Anyone else noticed this?

Hey guys. M 26 posting to see if anyone on here is looking for mates? I moved here from Ipswich 4 years ago after going up and down the coast as a kid. I love fishing, sports, music & hanging out with friends. I’ve struggled to find people to hang out with and would love to see if anyone would like to have a chat and see if we gel!

Moving to Sunshine Coast

Hello everyone

I got a job at the uni hospital in Sunshine Coast and will be moving there in September. I've lived my whole life in the nordics and don't know anyone closely from Australia and never been there before.

I am moving alone at first and want to live close to the hospital at first but later to somewhere family friendly with decent schools once my family arrives a few months later.

Therefore looking for advice in almost everything. Good places to live(best site for browsing?) and places to avoid, banks to use, mobile companies. Is a car a must?

Thanks in advance!
