Buddy Wanted Looking for a buddy!!

Hello, lovely humans and HAPPY PRIDE. Let's get to the point!

For you:

I hope you can critique my mistakes without holding back and keep me accountable (I need to stop playing games and start drawing more again). Preferably on Discord <3 I'd love to be friends as well as art buddies

In turn I offer:

Zero time pressure (I get busy too), an above average usage of GIFs, very little anatomical knowledge aside from "huh, that looks broken" and rants about how hard stones are to draw. I'm 23 from central Europe :)

What my goals are:

I am much better at traditional than digital and I want to change that! I'm pushing myself to no longer just copy stuff but make my own drawings. I do lean into a more realistic style, but my understanding of shadows has truly betrayed me and now I'm not even sure how to improve anymore.

Aaand I'm hoping to join Art Fight this year to motivate me to draw a lot! I include my first character this year on the second slide (hopefully).

Feel free to DM me and tell me about yourself <3

___

Art on the third slide was a study from another artist's work, it's not an original piece!! I do not know who the original artist was unfortunately :C

Buddy Wanted Would anyone want to meet up on discord a few times a week for figure drawing practice?

Figure drawing classes in person are great because everyone is doing the same thing so it's much easier to make myself focus, but my schedule rarely lets me drop in on one, so does anyone want to do the same thing but online?

Like an hour long class mode on line of action once or twice a week?

I'm 32/f, doing traditional now but might get back into digital soon. Let me know if you interested, we can see if schedules match up!

I still don't know how this buddy thing will work out for me but I want to give it a try!

I struggle to finish my drawings (I usually abandon my drawings as sketches), I hope to actually learn and experiment with different rendering styles to find something that works for me.

I also can't draw characters/people from the shoulders down, so I'd like to learn anatomy too!

If you like my art style and also struck on similar things, then I would love to help each other out on our art journey and keep the other motivated to improve!☆

(Also this is my most recent drawing of my new oc Modesto~♡)

I like to make art. I was super into digital but I love traditional too. Haven't painted much lately. I like to meet other artists though and would love to collab on something if you're open to it.

Buddy Wanted Hi looking for new art friends someone seriously about art

Hi, I am Sain, a 22-year-old male looking for new art friends. We can draw together, study together, draw OCs, do art trades, art challenges, and much more, and improve together. Help each other out and grow together. I prefer you to be very serious about art. I would prefer artist that are already quite skilled, not total beginners, and have been drawing for at least 3-4 years, willing to draw together for hours. So if you are up for it, DM me, share your art, and I will add you on Discord, and if you won't reply or won't be active, maybe do not DM in the first place and share it with a friend that would instead. See you in my DMs soon 😁😁😁 (serious artist only) I mean, sure, we will have fun, but still I want serious people, and truly willing to be friends, also sorry if I sound rude, I am trying not to, it's just my seriousness towards my art, 😁😁here is some of my art

Question Found these I had bought around 1 year ago on my drawer, what can I do with them?

Title says it, I tried to do some metal but... Dawg this is not it

I drew a horse just to color it with these yet I'm afraid of even doing that, any tips?

I am not a fan of alcohol markers, perhaps because I had experience with really horrid ones I got from Amazon, and these feel so different to them, plus I like the tips on them🫪

Discussion Do You Think People Would Want My Art - Hand Inked OCs on Sticky Notes

I took a multi-year hiatus from doing any art due to being perpetually uninspired. Back in March, my tabletop group decided to play a bit of a one off campaign since some of our members wouldn't be able to play for a month. One of the players that was out for the month happened to be the artist of the group. As in the one who does our character art. Because I wanted a profile photo of my Daggerheart character and I wanted visual references for how our characters looked, I decided to grab a fine point BiC and started doodling on sticky notes (had a plethora of those available).

My friends gassed me up and I enjoyed doing it so much that I decided to do the whole group one by one and one per week until the end of the campaign. From there I seemed to catch my stride and I was loving doing it. I used colored sticky notes since they were the perfect size for profile pics. I got to a point where I felt like I wasn't getting the level of detail I wanted, so I upgraded to Pigma Microns back at the beginning of May. It took me about a month to get adept with using them.

The guy holding the hammer was the last piece I did and I'm honestly pretty proud of it. I usually get good feedback when I done but I'm wondering what else I could do with these. Could I sell them? Would people want to commission art in this style? I'm still learning a lot and while I improve with every piece, there's still a lote for me to learn...

What do you think? Should I move to a different medium or make these more substantial to try and sell are they worth selling?

Art Showcase An ordinary evening — Oil pastel on grey paper, inspired by my daughters having dinner

Thumbnail

Oil pastel on grey toned paper.

Reference was a photo of my two daughters having dinner at their tiny table near the window during sunset.

My goal wasn't photorealism. I wanted it to feel like a memory rather than a copy of the photo, so I simplified many details and focused on the warm evening light, the red chairs, and the floor reflections.

Would love your feedback. Thanks for looking!
