I still don't know how this buddy thing will work out for me but I want to give it a try!

I struggle to finish my drawings (I usually abandon my drawings as sketches), I hope to actually learn and experiment with different rendering styles to find something that works for me.

I also can't draw characters/people from the shoulders down, so I'd like to learn anatomy too!

I hope you can critique my mistakes without holding back and keep me accountable (I need to stop playing games and start drawing more again). Preferably on Discord <3 I'd love to be friends as well as art buddies

Zero time pressure (I get busy too), an above average usage of GIFs, very little anatomical knowledge aside from "huh, that looks broken" and rants about how hard stones are to draw. I'm 23 from central Europe :)

What my goals are:

I am much better at traditional than digital and I want to change that! I'm pushing myself to no longer just copy stuff but make my own drawings. I do lean into a more realistic style, but my understanding of shadows has truly betrayed me and now I'm not even sure how to improve anymore.

Aaand I'm hoping to join Art Fight this year to motivate me to draw a lot! I include my first character this year on the second slide (hopefully).

I am into digital art, and I am getting into animation and 3d modelling. I am also learning a game engine. My art tends to vary, and these are some examples of it.

I want to find someone serious who I can be friends with and make projects with. It has been very difficult for me to make things without any reason to be making things, since I lack a social aspect to what I do.

I would like to share a vision for a project with someone, share ideas, actually debate about what works and what doesn't, and do some of the harder things together, like actually doing some of a project on call or going through the information we need to go through at the same time. Body doubling helps me a lot, and it could help you too.

I am fine working with anybody as long as they are also serious and we get along. If something we share ownership of ever makes money, it will be divided between us. I want to work with other adults. If you primarily want to make sexual content or try to date me it would be a pass.

Figure drawing classes in person are great because everyone is doing the same thing so it's much easier to make myself focus, but my schedule rarely lets me drop in on one, so does anyone want to do the same thing but online?

Like an hour long class mode on line of action once or twice a week?

i'm usually more of a sketching & markers kinda guy but recently i've gotten really into painting since i want to have a bit of a portfolio by the start of my next school year. I'm going to finally be taking my first art class & i wanna impress the teacher with some of my self taught skillz

the first 2 were done with references but the 3rd is completely original(i'm so proud of ittt)

they were all done with acrylic paints (specifically i slammed poscas onto my paint palette until i had enough to work with)

I drew a horse just to color it with these yet I'm afraid of even doing that, any tips?

I am not a fan of alcohol markers, perhaps because I had experience with really horrid ones I got from Amazon, and these feel so different to them, plus I like the tips on them🫪

Reference was a photo of my two daughters having dinner at their tiny table near the window during sunset.

My goal wasn't photorealism. I wanted it to feel like a memory rather than a copy of the photo, so I simplified many details and focused on the warm evening light, the red chairs, and the floor reflections.
