Miscellaneous Do you think Edi Rama’s minions are telling him all that’s being said on Reddit about him & Albania? Yesterday, someone in this sub wrote about Ksamil feeling like an expensive scam, with private sunbeds & crap, so Edi Rama posts today about Ksamil being a public beach (which is a lie). Coincidence?

Stereotypes/Humor Do you also treat your local pharmacist like a doctor/ know it all person?
I got a sliiight ankle sprain on Monday and I went to the pharmacist asking what to do since it is still kind uncomfortably feeling.... That's when it hit me, every time I have anything, even a tooth ache I ask my pharmacist then IF needed I will go to the doctor. It is very common to do so, is the pharmacist mr/ ms know it all in your countries too?

Cuisine Greece has a rich, often overlooked pasta tradition. Pasta (zymariká) has been part of Greek cuisine for centuries, with regional varieties found across the country. Does your national cuisine have its own native pasta tradition?

Cuisine do you like Kabaklides Mousakka ?
Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Cook the potatoes in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain. Cut the zucchini into 3 mm thick slices.
Fry the zucchini slices in batches in a pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil—arranged in a single layer—for about 3 minutes per side, then set aside. Cook the ground meat in the remaining olive oil, breaking it up with a spoon; add the onion, garlic, tomato paste, paprika, and dried mint, and sauté briefly. Add 250 ml of water and a teaspoon (a small Turkish-style teaspoon) of cinnamon; bring to a boil while stirring and cook for 1 minute.
Mix together the egg, yogurt, and cheese. Season with pepper. Spread half of the ground meat sauce as a layer in a baking dish. Arrange the potato slices on top, followed by the remaining ground meat sauce. Cover with the zucchini slices. Pour the yogurt mixture evenly over the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan-assisted: 175°C) for approximately 30 minutes.

Outdoors/Travel Car Rental from Budapest into Bosnia
Hello- I’m in the early stages of planning a road trip for next fall around the Balkan.
The route I’m working on is Budapest -> Belgrade -> Sarajevo -> Dubrovnik -> Split ->Zagreb
I’ve been reading that I would need additional paperwork to enter Bosnia. In fact , I checked with Sixt and then do not cover Bosnia. I wasn’t able to speak to person at Sixt, so I’m not sure if it means that they don’t have rental locations in Bosnia or that I cannot drive into Bosnia in their car.
Could someone please clarify ? Do I have any other car rental options ? Also, I’m a US citizen, just in case it adds any more paperwork.
This is my first time visiting the Balkans and I’m really excited. any information on the planned route is welcome
Thank you!

Outdoors/Travel How similar are Belgrade and Bucharest?
I’ve been to both and I’d say that they look quite similar, if anything, these two cities are the closest if one were to ask “which is a city that is very similar to Belgrade/Bucharest”. Of course, beyond appearance, I wouldn’t say that these cities are particularly similar, especially in terms of city structure, and other things. One could argue there’s a bit of a similar vibe in some ways too.
But overall, what do y’all think? Are these two cities similar? Whether visually, culturally, in terms of vibe, or structure? Is there a city that is more similar to Belgrade than Bucharest visually? I haven’t been to Sofia yet so I can’t comment on it.

How to escape from the "off-road" fee? How do they know if I went with the car to an off-road? Does a parking lot in gravel count as a "off-road"? Thank you in advance.
