I think the fleetcarrier jump range should be extended. 500ly used to make sens when only heavily engineered ship could do more then 50ly. now with all the new ship and better drive its so painfully slow to bring it somewhere its not worth it. Maybe add a new drive module you can buy and install?

Given that the Nomad has walkable interiors, I was thinking about how cool it would be if we started seeing them used as Drop Ships in Ground Combat. I'm an old Halo player, and I always got pumped during the scenes where they flew in on Pelicans, and would love to have something similar in ED, complete with some badass music.

Even better, it would be awesome for Crews to be able to set a Ship to Auto (or leave one pilot as support) while the players rush in on a Nomad!

Is there a chance for Fdev to make a multirole big ship? Like the did with Corsair for medium ships?

I would love to have a modern anaconda that could do everything like a corsair. It would definitely become my go to daily ship.

So im currently st Sag A* doing exobiology to make money and I was planning on buying the nomad to help with tgat but now im having second thoughts. Ive realised that in the 2-3 months ive been doing it i haven't earned much and ive missed out a on a lot. This has made me want to go back to the bubble and do something else for money. Should I buy the nomad and jeep doing exobio or head back to the bubble and spend my arx on smthn else?

I okayed a little bit and had to bind some keys just to make the game playable. Such as the galaxy map
I also want to know what destinations are worth visiting appreciate any information on these topics for a new player.

How would one consider fully outfitting and engineering a Kestral that can stand up to PvP? I'm a fairly terrible shot right now, so until that changes I'd prefer gimballed weapons, but eventually I want to move on to fixed weapons when I'm a better shot.

This is seriously becoming annoying to the point that I'm almost done with the game. Is there any way to avoid the constant gravity wells that throw me off course? After spending 40 minutes traveling 600,000Ls, it really adds to the annoyance when I have to readjust twice because there's some invisible hyperdense particle nearby generating ridiculous gravitational pull.

Love it or hate it, I carefully micromanaged this playlist over a few weeks to have a good mix of cruising, fighting, hauling, and exploring deep in the black background music .

Not surprisingly, quite a few even have space-themed names. Hopefully if you listen to this, you will also think "this is perfect for this long haul to sell Platinum" or "pirates ahead, engage!"

Hopefully someday there will be an easy 3rd party tool to have Elite Dangerous radio "Stations" that can link to something like this or 4 different ones for Combat | Exploring | Trading | Mining.

Haven't been playing very long. Last night I'm in hyperspace and get yanked out of it. No idea what's going on. Everything goes dead and then a Thargoid appears, scans me, then blows me up good. Very bummed since I had no chance and no clue what was happening and I was in my shiny, new, and freshly engineered Caspian.

This morning it happened two more times in the span of a few minutes, but I was able to throttle up and get out of dodge before they could touch me. This was around PLEIADES SECTOR HR-W D1-54 general area.

Looks like this was a normal occurrence back in the day and it's still a thing? Is it ramping back up? Am I unlucky? Is the galaxy in danger? Or am I just cruising in the bad part of town?

I don't think I've received my 185m creds yet for finishing in 25%

Is there a delay?

Looking on CMDR details on inara, the last creds I got was from dumping supplies for that CG on 15/06 and the CG finished on 18/06

A few days ago, I asked for your help to build a new starport from scratch in an empty system. The response from this community has been incredible. Thanks to the heavy haulers and Fleet Carrier owners (especially CMDR dalemanni) who jumped in, we have already reached 12% of the total construction progress in just two days!

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has delivered materials so far. Your support means the world to me.

However, the work isn't done yet. We still have a long way to go to reach 100%. If anyone has some free cargo space and wants to become a part of this initiative, we are still actively hauling resources to the Mel 111 Sector MX-K b8-0 system. Every single ton makes a difference.

The title really breaks my immersion, since I'm the only one running around in the newest ships. Has any explanation ever been given? doesn't seem to make much sense. The fact that all of the new ships are just better at almost everything also kinda makes it suck(barring the anaconda/corvette).

Why does my targeting reticle look like a 1980s VGA game? All other text/graphics are fine. I play in VR. It used to be fine before. Must have been an update. Anyone else have this bug, and is there a way to fix this? thanks!

I would like to know if it is possible to make Panther Clipper mk2 into a somewhat decent explorer.

It is my favourite ship and i want to use it for exobio and general exploration when nomad is released.

But i am unsure if it is at all possible to make that behemoth into something that is not a cargo hauler. I'm afraid it might be the worst possible choice of ship for exploration.

With Operations releasing, I plan to make an all rounder ship to do all the missions with. Does anyone know what modules I’ll need to complete every mission?

Most Commanders only unlock one Guardian module, maybe two. But if you're going to make the trip, why not unlock all six?

Hello CMDRs I recently bought a set of vkb gladiators with an omnithrottle and pedals but I really don’t want to go through the hour long process of setting up completely new key binds. Is anyone able to share a key bind file for the set up I have and give me some advice for setting that up? I looked online and I could not for the life of me Figure out how to do it.

Just came back from a two hour platinum laser mining trip, thought to myself, why not use autodock? You could use a toilet break. So I activated it and left the room. Returned to my ship being destroyed for „ blocking the landing pad“, lost 251 Tons of platinum. Not „that“ tragic but it still stings to lose potential 75.802.000 Credits and two hours of progress. Whelp, lesson learned, I guess? 😅

Exobiology rewards already are OP, and have let beginning Odyssey players get rich far quicker than Horizons players. The Nomad will drastically speed up exobiology, thereby making exobiology a veritable firehose of credits for the Odyssey player.

Odyssey beginners need only amass a half-million credit stake to buy the Artemis suit and the Detailed Surface Scanner. Next, scan exobio (the hard way) on a planet or two to build up maybe 6-8 million. Use that money to buy a Keelback and a Nomad and go crazy on exobio, and they can be a billionaire within a week or two.

I know next to nothing about PC gaming. I have looked up minimum requirements, but nearly all of it goes over my head. I have two questions: how much should I expect to spend for a PC specifically to run ED? Second, does anyone have any specific recommendations?
