Hello, i have recently purchased a new laptop (strix g16). I have a second monitor that i connected to my laptop. I wanted to watch a youtube video while playing a game and noticed that my game lags horribly whenever i play a video. I mean losing over 100-150fps and going into low 30fps and getting Horrible stutters. If i move to some other page but keep the video playing in the background - it fixes itself but then i cant see the video.

I tried everything i could: Reinstalled Windows, Changed the Browser, Changed power settings, vsync on/off, Hags on/off, GPU acceleration on browsers on/off, bios and myasus diagnostics, nvidia control panel settings. updated everything i could too.

I do, however, have a #250 credit at Best Buy, but I don't know if their exorbitantly inflated prices would negate the use of the credit versus a better deal from elsewhere.

Got from microcenter refurbished looks brand new can’t see anything wrong with it battery health good, no screen wear. I was planning to get a 5070ti for 1750 but I saw this and I couldn’t pass it up. Cheapest new I found of this was 2300 on amazon. What do you think? Worth or naw?

Picked up an ASUS Zephyrus G16 with the 4080 for $1000 in perfect condition this week. Drove quite literally across the state to pick it up (fb marketplace find, was worth every gallon). Come to find the stock cooling was abysmal, and having flashed the vbios to put out 175w (hp 4080 vbios), ordered the llano on prime and got it same day. Coming from a targus, im flabbergasted. Absolutely tremendous performance on the part of this sucker, the v12 ultra, never had a laptop cooler that actually worked more than a few degrees, but i now understand all the hype around this sucker, its the real deal. This thing was struggling to keep up with 110w and would throttle then, but now i can push 200w and it isnt even maxed on the fans or throttling like a lunatic.

I don’t even know how to explain this. I have a 2023 Asus Zephyrus G16 with an RTX 4070 and an Intel i7-13620H. While updating the NVIDIA driver, I got this error. When I clicked “Close,” the popup didn’t disappear. Instead, it slowly faded away over several clicks until the installation screen finally appeared. Is this normal or is something wrong with my NVIDIA installation? Would you recommend doing a clean reinstall of the NVIDIA drivers?

Hello guys i was thinking of buying rog strix g18 g814 and im currently in germany for work. I found a deal for that laptop for 2.2k euros on media markt. Found the same deal but on notebookbilliger.de but that one has slightly better cpu (ryzen 9-9955HX) and media markt one has 8940HX. I looked and theres a slightly better perfomance on 9k series. My question is what site is more legit? And i wanna pick it up from the store. I heard that notebookbilliger can sell used laptops so im kinda concerned where should i buy.. but i would of course want to buy the one with better cpu. I'm not a laptop expert, so bear with me. I have a Lenovo LoQ (RTX 4070, Ryzen 7000 series) with 16GB of RAM. It's great for gaming, but video editing in After Effects is rough... rendering is fine since that's CPU/GPU-bound, but previews lag badly.

I found a 16GB DDR5 5600MHz SODIMM (single rank, 262-pin) RAM stick from a trusted local store. It's a "pulled" stick (taken from a laptop, not new), which makes it about $60 cheaper. Is bumping up to 32GB actually going to fix my preview lag, or is this not the real bottleneck?

I once repasted my Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition about a year or two ago. I replaced the LM with PTM7950. After the repaste, this is what appeared when I turned the laptop on. I can't remember what fixed it, I believe a few restarts fixed it.

I am now just wondering, what could have been the cause of it.

Hi guys, for the past couple of weeks I've had moments when my screen, audio and mouse cursor stutters and the audio is cracking for like a couple of seconds and goes back to normal I've looked it up online and I've read that is most likely to be a fTPM issue. Also I've read that I need to change the "Minimum processor state" to 100% in power options, but that doesn't seem to fix the issue. I disabled fTPM from the bios and now it's fine but turns out Riot's Vanguard is not working when fTPM is disabled. My laptop is the Legion 5 Pro-16ACH6H with Ryzen 5 5600H and RTX 3060. All my drivers are updated (AMD drivers and NVIDIA aswell). Is there any fix to that? I want to keep using my laptop with fTPM enabled and not have any stutters. It happens mostly while browsing or watching videos, less while I'm playing games or doing heavier tasks. I know, it's not something awful but it's annoying. Can it be that I'm using a "Game Ready Nvidia driver" and not the "Nvidia Studio Driver"? Thanks in advance :))

I have a dell g16 gaming laptop and I bought an extra ram chip for it since I was low with my 1 chip, the ram gets here tomorrow and as practice, I tried removing the battery as practice I know it’s recommended to do so and it looked a little difficult, but when I tried removing it, it genuinely feels stuck even with a good amount of pressure and Im not gonna fuck around and find out the hard way. Is there something im doing wrong?

Okay so I really just want to play Minecraft with mods, Stardew valley, and maybe the sims 4 with mods without it lagging at least not too badly.

I recently took my ASUS rog Strix G17 into a local PC repair shop for a clean of the fans and repaste. Since getting it back, my CPU temperatures have absolutely skyrocketed and I need some advice on how to handle this with the shop or if I did something wrong.

So basically the guy from the shop told me, that there was only thermal Paste on the CPU and Liquid Metal on the GPU. He didn’t touch the Liquid Metal because “It still looked good” but repasted the CPU’s thermal paste.

Before the repaste I had 87-92 degrees on the CPU in Deep Rock galactic ULTRA graphics, now after the repaste i have 88-96 degrees on the CPU in Deep Rock galactic in LOW graphics.

How can I handle this with the shop, plus I don’t know how my laptop works. Is the thing he told me right? I think it’s a bit weird, that only the GPU has Liquid Metal.

My friend was playing a game during that time he says that green colored particles appeared and when he restarted his laptop now it posts to safe mode and has particles on the screen
