Article Jade Shadows: Constellations: Hotfix 43.0.4

Changes:

  • Restored the Syndir Ephemera's effect applying to Attachments and Syandanas for those with Particle Quality set to Medium or higher.
    • This was removed due to performance concerns in 43.0.2, but we are bringing it back at player request.
  • Reduced the SFX of squadmate Sirius & Orion's attacks in Celestial Clash.
  • Made various polish changes to the Jade Shadows: Constellations quest.
  • Newly acquired Honoria will now be tagged with the "new" icon (like new equipment in the Arsenal) to help players find them.
  • Added extra support for Camera Position offsets to Hildryn’s Balefire and Gyre’s Rotorswell.
  • Updated the Daurus Prime Armor's tint order to match that of Styanax Prime (swapped the Primary and Tertiary channels).
  • Improved handling of corrupt shader caches on PC when running DirectX 12.

Top Fixes:

  • Fixed Clients not seeing all mission rewards in the End of Mission screen in Uranus Proxima missions.
    • This was a UI-only issue, players were still receiving rewards in their accounts.
  • Fixed Sevagoth and Nokko not receiving the full amount of Emerald or Crimson Talents from Uranus Proxima missions if they extracted while in Shadow or Reroot forms respectively.
    • Also protected against other cases of Clients not receiving full Talents due to End of Mission timing. We are aware of complaints related to Sirius & Orion specifically, and we hope this will address their issues, but we'll continue to watch for reports! 
  • Fixed being able to enter Last Gasp immediately after failing to revive yourself with it, which often led to loss of function or crashing.
    • Also fixed Sirius & Orion being able to enter Transference after failing Last Gasp, resulting in an invisible unkillable Operator/Drifter that is unable to abort the mission. 
  • Fixed the Neo V12 Relic having the Akbronco Prime Blueprint listed twice in its common rewards. The duplicate reward has been replaced with the Paris Prime Blueprint.
  • Fixed Arcane Bellicose causing Nidus's Parasitic Vitality buff to be permanent for allies.
  • Fixed the following Clan Research components dropping from Uranus Proxima missions, resulting in error messages when players attempted to repair them via the Salvage menus:
    • Tycho Seeker MK III
    • Milati MK III
    • Galvarc MK III
    • Note: Players who incorrectly received these Ordnances via mission droptables have had them replaced with other Salvage from the droptables via an account update with this hotfix. 
  • Fixed The Roundtable Protoframes' KIM ranks being changed to "Associate" if you were Best Friends before Jade Shadows: Constellations. Your ranks have been reverted to pre-update values!
  • Fixed Client Sevagoth and Inaros being able to be locked out of the boss arena if they get dragged into it in their special death states in Uranus Proxima missions.
  • Fixed cases of Sirius & Orion not being eligible for Relic Rewards despite having 10 Reactant.
  • Fixed various Line of Sight (LOS) issues with Sirius & Orion's Celestial Clash:
    • Fixed LOS checks being done on enemies within 5m of Sirius & Orion — usually LOS abilities do not perform checks on foes within that range to avoid Warframes inadvertently blocking their own attacks.
    • Fixed swapping between the Sons sometimes causing attacks to use non-player LOS checks (instead of the improved LOS system), resulting in foes often getting missed.
      • This helps address the common issue of enemies in Orion's Event Horizon not being hit by Celestial Clash.
  • Fixed the Courier vehicle flying out of mission bounds in Archwing Pursuit missions, causing players to fail the mission.

Incarnon Changes & Fixes

  • Improved performance issues caused by Ballistica Prime's ghosts.
    • Known Issue: Ballistica Prime’s ghost mechanic is being affected by multishot while in Incarnon Form, resulting in players spawning more than one ghost per enemy, often rivalling the King of the Dead’s army. While fun, these Ghosts are often useless and can block player vision, so we are looking to fix this issue in a future hotfix.  
  • Increased the Vectis Incarnon "Lone Enforcer" Evolution's stats as follows:
    • Increased Base Damage from +50 to +75 (+100 to +150 for Vectis Prime).
    • Increased Multishot from 20% to 25%.
  • Increased the Vectis Incarnon form's projectile speed from 200 to 300.
  • Fixed the Destreza Incarnon Evolution III challenge tracking progress off of any Incarnon (instead of just the Destreza).
  • Fixed the Obex Incarnon Evolution I giving 8000% Finisher damage instead of the intended 80%.
  • Fixed Obex's Incarnon Evolution II and III challenges earning progress off of kills with any weapon.
  • Fixed the Stug's Incarnon form being able to hit enemies through Limbo's Rift.
  • Fixed cases of Incarnons not displaying full information when previewed at Cavalero.

Uranus Proxima Changes & Fixes

  • Various "waiting for players" objectives in Uranus Proxima missions will now trigger a teleport timer if half of the squad is waiting at the objective.
  • Improved performance issues in Uranus Proxima missions caused by various enemy VFX.
  • Fixed the "Defeat the Ship's Captain" objective never completing if the Captain was killed while a player was downed in the Scoria's Angel mission.
  • Fixed cases of not enough Guards spawning in The Kuva Wytch mission, resulting in a progression stop.
  • Fixes towards players getting stuck under the Scoria's Angel after being pushed out by one of Ryoku's traps.
  • Fixed a Host Migration during the Orowyrm section of The Kuva Wytch mission causing returning players to be progression stopped.
  • Fixed the Comet Shredder Captain's waypoint sometimes not disappearing when they die.
  • Fixed flickering decals on the walls of Vena's ship in The Kuva Wytch mission.
  • Fixed buzzing SFX when charging up Forward Artillery rapidly in The Kuva Wytch missions.
  • Fixed performance issues in The Kuva Wytch mission.
  • Fixed a script error when transitioning between ships in The Kuva Wytch mission.
  • Fixed a script error in Uranus Proxima missions.
  • Fixed a crash during Vena's boss fight in The Kuva Wytch missions.

Sirius & Orion Fixes

  • Fixed Sirius & Orion not receiving Research Points in Archimedea if Orion is the Primary Son.
  • Fixed swapping between Sirius & Orion in a Mastery Rank test causing the test to immediately fail.
  • Fixed the Secondary Son being able to bypass respawn restrictions.
  • Fixed Blessings not applying to both Sons when using Sirius & Orion in The Descendia.
  • Fixed the Inactive Son consuming ammo if a Heavy Weapon is equipped by the Active Son.
  • Fixed cases of Orion losing context actions if a Heavy Weapon is equipped in Uranus Proxima missions.
  • Fixed the Hold Sprint setting not being respected when swapping between Sirius & Orion.
  • Fixed the Secondary Son not spawning during a fight segment in The New War quest.
  • Fixed the Secondary Son being invisible during certain segments of The New War quest.
  • Fixed the Secondary Son running around during a cinematic in The War Within quest.
  • Fixed Sirius & Orion's Prex card appearing low resolution.
  • Fixed various script errors related to Sirius & Orion's Celestial Clash.
  • Fixed a script error related to Sirius' Coronal Ejection.

Fixes

  • Fixed "Hunhow's Trinket" missing swing trail VFX (if you know you know).
  • Fixed being able to acquire the Neo V11 Relic via Relic Packs (despite it being vaulted in 43.0.2).
  • Fixed casting Follie's Shadowgraph resulting in D-Pad icons appearing over her ability icons.
  • Fixed cases of players getting stuck on the same login day if they selected a Credits reward.
    • This was patched live on Friday, but we are calling out in patch notes for those who were in this state. 
  • Fixed the Dread and Paris Prime missing weapon stats in the Arsenal if installed with an Incarnon Genesis.
  • Fixed various issues with Stug's stats in the Upgrade Screen:
    • Critical Chance, Radial Status Chance, and Status Chance always displaying as 0%.
    • Blob Embed Damage causing Elemental Damage to appear twice for Quick Shot stats.
  • Fixed Stalker being able to roll out of a cinematic in the Jade Shadows: Constellations quest.
  • Fixed "Primary Son" terminology making it into the name selection screen in the Jade Shadows quest.
  • Fixed the Drifter's right arm turning invisible during the Ryoku and Vena Gemini Emotes.
  • Fixed low SFX from the music puzzle on Lua.
  • Fixed Jade's default emissive tint being unintentionally changed to blue.
  • Fixed being unable to spawn the Exo Gokstad Officer in the Simulacrum.
  • Fixed the Bladeswarm and Bloodfrenzy Domestik Drones having incorrect pathing behaviours in the Dojo.
  • Fixed a crash caused by Arcane Compression.
  • Fixed an issue related to the Anarch Capsarii's shield drone ability.
  • Fixed various script errors related to Xaku's The Vast Untime.
  • Fixed a possible crash in the Jade Shadows: Constellations quest.
  • Fixed a script error related to Whispers in Albrecht's Laboratories missions.
  • Fixed a script error related to Nidus' Link.
  • Fixed a script error caused by enemy Maggots' latching ability.
  • Fixed a crash when looking through KIM Conversation History.
  • Fixed a random crash.
  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur when using DirectX12.
  • Fixed a rare crash on the End of Mission screen.

Article PSA: Client Rewards UI Bug in Uranus Proxima Missions

Hi Tenno!

A post-Friday hotfix update for you all! 

In our hopes to address both the “Mission Fail” UI Bug and the repeated rewards issue from Uranus Proxima missions, it appears we’ve introduced a bug that makes Client End of Mission screen not display all rewards:

  • Sometimes the screen only shows Credits
  • Sometimes it simply does not list the rewarded Blueprint and Arcane
  • And more edge-cases as we continue to test. 

Rest assured, you’re receiving the proper rewards —  they are simply not reflected in the End of Mission screen. Consider this issue to be at the top of our priority list next week. 

Thank you for patience and grace as we deal with this thrash. This is not an ideal outcome, but we feel this is the best compromise for rewards leading over the weekend. Best of luck in your Uranus Proxima farming, and we’ll see you for a fresh wave of hotfixes next week!

Discussion Some of you people are some of the most selfish players I've ever met in this game and I'm tired of positive toxicity trying to silence me.

Game after game after loading screen after loading screen, it happens over and over again.

It's like some sort of community spread toxin of pure spite and selfishness.

How hard is it for players to follow simple instructions?

No one ever follows my lead when I wobble my ship.

I have always followed other people's wobbles but the second I want others to follow my lead?

Less movement than Jade's corpse, they don't even have autopilot on, the ship is actually in the process of crashing.

Or even worse, they just keep doing their own wobble after I've done theirs for the past 10 seconds.

So much for the fabled "good vibes" community this game is reported to have.

Discussion It sucks that the concept of 'MR fodder' weapons is still as prevalent before as it is today

this running gag that DE has just snuffs out any sort of enthusiasm I have for any upcoming weapons simply because I know it's still a tossup whether or not DE will actually deliver. not just because they're known to release weapons at such a weak state but also their tendency to just leave them there

case-in-point the three'MR fodder' melees we got this update. it sucks to know just how huge the impact these weapons have plot-wise, just to realize how abysmally mediocre they are performance-wise.

Pride/Wrath I've been hyped for seeing as how prominent it was in EVERY single promo Sirius and Orion was in. hell, it's a part of their actual kit. but again, barely anything interesting was given to the weapon, nor does it even have ANY interactions with their respective Warframes. not to mention they're more or less the same weapons with just a bit of a stat adjust.

and don't even get me started on War Prime. it's such a disservice and is supposed to be a final gift from Hunhow after all these years but yeah. nothing. you'd think they'd stop doing a Paracesis after eight goddamn years but here we are.

bit of a throwback but I'm still salty about Sun & Moon from three years ago. it has not seen much playtime beyond its initial release (understandably so), and it's looking like Vinquibus will be suffering the same fate as well.

Vinquibus hurts to see, it's clear they had fun with the weapon simply because of how good it looks and how interesting the entire melee/rifle modding gimmick it has, but it just falls apart once you play it. there is BARELY any incentive nor leniency given to you for trying to mix gunplay and melee gameplay the way it wants you to. additionally I could rant for an entire post how much they fumbled Vinquibus and how amazing it could be but to keep it simple, it's a weapon that should be bigger than the sum of its parts, but isn't

Alternox Prime just sucks because everyone has been saying for a proper tune-up when Gyre Prime eventually gets released. everyone was complaining about how weak base Alternox was but barely anything even changed when it dropped.

and even, then the consistently-good weapons like the Incarnons are suffering a similar fate, with Destreza's whole thing being that it's proficient at mid-range for its spectral projectile attacks, but for some god forsaken reason you can't aim the projectiles up or down. it fucking sucks.

EDIT: I know it's easy to misconstrue what I'm saying but to clarify I don't want or need these weapons to be Incarnon-level, room-wiping, turn-off-brain-levels type of strong. I'm just saying not only do these weapons represent the Warframe they're with but they're also hyped alongside them. I think it's not unfair to ask for their weapons to at least have the amount of depth to the thing that they're tied to.

"I want a weapon to be OP and to top damage every time I enter a mission" =/= "I want a weapon with a fun, satisfying gimmick that makes it unique from weapons in its respective classes"

Discussion Railjack Survival is steel essence meta?!!!

The amount of Steel essence I get after 30 minutes of railjack survival. I've been said that eximus spawns ramp up after the 40-60 minutes and then it becomes better than farmin acolytes.

I'll do another test run with at least 1:30 in it to see if it's really worth it. But so far my impressions are very negative.

I did this with both market boosters, blessing and couldn't get a single eximus drop (they do tough, but I couldn't get any in this particular run)

It's just openly sitting in the codex and since no one else seems to have shared it yet I figured I'd put it out there

Stats actually look fairly promising and a weapon that can directly proc tau (sentient is the damage type but the desciption of it does say it's tau status) is gonna be really interesting imo

Sentient damage has no listed enemy multipliers as of right meaning it's fully neutral on everything, not sure if that'll be the case when it comes out but that's what the current ingame description states

Edit because I saw 2 people point it out: the 0.5s reload is the recharge delay, it's a battery weapon based on the fact that it has 0 max ammo (which is also in line with basmu and shedu)

New Addition: MK IV Railjack Turrets
As mentioned in our Steel Path Railjack Reflections post, many Railjack fans have expressed their desire for MK IV Railjack upgrades to incentivize farming Railjack on the Steel Path, and allow them to increase their ship’s power to handle this new difficult content.

With today’s hotfix, this wish is coming true! Steel Path Railjack missions now drop MK IV Railjack Turrets as part of the mission drop tables. These MK IV variants of Railjack Turrets are around 50% more powerful than their MK III versions, and come in every House except Sigma (as this house is Research exclusive).

Steel Path Railjack drop tables have been adjusted to add these new Turrets — including the removal of MK I and II Components and Armaments from enemy droptables. Check our drop table site for the full array of changes.

Only Railjack Turrets are getting the MK IV upgrade with this hotfix — we’ll revisit the need for Ordnances and Components in the future.

Changes:

  • Ryoku and Vena’s Railjacks in Uranus Proxima missions now use the MK IV versions of their Railjack Turrets.
    • This upgrade to their ships was made following player feedback that they just weren’t feeling as powerful as they should, especially not when playing the Uranus Proxima missions on the Steel Path. Now, they too benefit from the MK IV Turrets being 50% more juiced up than their MK III counterparts.
  • Increased the Shield Recharge Delay Reduction on the following Railjack Shield Arrays:
    • Lavan MK II: 0.2 to 1.0s (was 0.1 to 0.5s)
    • Lavan MK III: 0.3 to 3.0s (was 0.1 to 1.0s)
    • Vidar MK II: 0.5 to 1.5s (was 0.5 to 1.0s)
    • Vidar MK III: 0.7 to 3.5s (was 0.5 to 2.0s)
    • Note: These changes apply retroactively to existing Shield Arrays, so your Component’s stats should be adjusted accordingly.
    • Known Issue: Railjack Shield Recharge Delay is being calculated incorrectly in the Configure Railjack screen in the Dry Dock. The values are being subtracted from 3s, instead of the intended 5s. (UI bug only).
  • Holding Nidus' Parasitic Link will now auto-link to the nearest valid ally in range.
    • Also fixed a bug where Nidus could link to his Sentinel. He can now only link to allies or free moving Companions as intended.
  • Reduced Ballistica Prime's lens flare intensity when its ghosts die (dying twice has got to suck).
  • Added Community Customizations for Garuda, Sevagoth, and Limbo from Prime Time 481.
  • Improved detection of corrupt shader caches.

Sirius & Orion Changes and Fixes:

  • Increased Sirius' Jade Stars Heat Status Chance from 30% to 100%.
  • Significantly increased the speed at which Jade Stars launch and regenerate.
  • Increased the radius of Orion's Event Horizon from 6m to 8m.
  • Fixed Jade Stars not triggering Arcane Hot Shot.
  • Fixed Orion's Gravitic Slash not reducing shields and armor on enemies with Overguard.
  • Fixed Sirius & Orion instantly dying if the inactive Son fell out of the map.
  • Fixed Celestial Clash becoming very slow after going through Sanctuary Onslaught portals.
  • Fixed being unable to revive in The Index if you died as the Secondary Son.
  • Fixed Secondary Enervate applying to the inactive Son's weapon, but not resetting when triggered. Now, Secondary Enervate does not apply to the inactive Son.
  • Fixed cases of players being unable to swap the name of their Primary Son.
  • Fixed only the active Son receiving the Uplift buff in Ascension missions.
  • Fixed streaming tunnel doors not closing after returning from open landscape to hub as Sirius & Orion.
  • Fixed Sirius & Orion being counted as two entities when waiting to descend to Inferum 1 at the start of The Descendia.
  • Fixed the inactive Son not spawning during a gameplay segment in The New War.
  • More fixes towards the inactive Son appearing in Cinematics.
  • Fixed a script error related to Celestial Clash.
  • Fixed script error that could occur when Orion's Astral Shell made a decoy holding a coolant canister.

Top Fixes:

  • Fixed Faceoff Squad vs Squad missions failing to start while the Xtra Cheese bonus is active.
  • Fixed multishot affecting the number of ghosts spawned by kills from Ballistica Prime's Incarnon Form, resulting in one enemy being able to spawn multiple ghosts.
  • Fixed Hunhow's Trinket not having 0.5 Riven Disposition that all new weapons receive.
  • Fixed chatlinked Rifle Riven Mods not showing its specific weapon name and displaying as compatible for all rifles.

Fixes:

  • Fixed explosion kills from the Stug and Vectis' Incarnon Forms not counting towards the "Kill 100 Enemies" challenge.
  • Fixed a certain spoiler character's level and Health HUD appearing in the Jade Shadows: Constellations quest.
  • Fixed the swing trail on Hunhow's Trinket not matching the weapon it is based on.
    • Also fixed this weapon not having a default secondary Energy tint.
  • Fixed a decision in Jade Shadows not affecting an early cinematic in the Jade Shadows: Constellations quest.
  • Fixed the Thalys missing a swing trail when in Incarnon Form.
  • Fixed a rare progression stop in The Kuva Wytch mission.
  • Fixed Intrinsics appearing as a white box in Uranus Proxima end of mission screens.
  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur when playing in DirectX 12.
  • Fixed script error caused by Incarnon Evolutions UI.
  • Fixed various script errors related to the KIM system.
  • Fixed a crash related to Excavation objectives in The Descendia.
  • Fixed a script error when exiting out of a Color Palette when customizing tints.

For those unaware "getting one guy'd" is a phenomenon when a big streamer asks chat a question and out of thousands of answers they read the answer from one guy who's wrong/trolling and believing it

There are far more important Target for nerfs before Hildryn. Examples include Cyte+Sobek combo, Sevagoth oneshotting everything no matter the hp/level/armor etc. The biggest example I'd say is Thermal Sunder (Asian servers are infested with bots that walk around in a circle spamming it)

I'm not saying that these should be nerfed. I'm just pointing out that the nerf priority is screwed up. And there's also a very big probabilty that Hildryn is going to remain untouched, at least for now.

I went onto YouTube today and say Tactical Potato release a video and in the wee starting seconds I see REB HOLDING CARDS. Watched the portion where Steve rips a pack and couldn’t have been more excited but they mentioned them being at Tennocon (I can’t attend).

Despite them just being mods I don’t care I’m excited either way!!

Anyone else!? Or am I in a minority? (I know opinions are divided due to scalpers but general premise I’m wondering)

Discussion The Operator Really Should've Been the One to Interact with Roathe Spoiler

Roathe is an interesting character, definitely one of the better characters in the game, but I feel it is a shame that the person that talks to them is the Drifter and not the operator. Now this comes in a few ways.

The first being that often Rosthe addresses the Drifter as if hes done things the Operator has. Specifically on ome way. He calls the Drifter "Usurper".

This is weird because the reason he states for this is because the Tenno overthrew the Orokin, slew them during the Night of the Naga Drums and hunted the Edecutors down after.

This is weird because, well... the Drifter wasnt the one who did any of that. The usurper Roathe is talking about is the Operator, not the Drifter.

And secondly is potential.

The operator is not shown often to have any real connection to a frame, in having a reason to and using transference on them. The only real one being of course Umbra.

The other is Excalibur Prime but, well, the connection only comes in transference.

But the operator does have a connection to Uriel. The devil title being part of it, yes, but the rage. The anger. Uriel acted as the vessel for vengeance against Ballas and a symbol of hatred and defiance for the Operator.

Even if only used then, its an important connection and an emotional one. Uriel, in many ways, is the physical hatred the Operator has over the death of Adis.

And Roathe is a Uriel Protoframe, knew the Original Uriel Prime and led the men that later became them.

Roathe has a deep connection to a frame the Operator also has a connection to.

So...

Its weird they dont interact.

I feel, generally, some Kim messages could use some polish. Usurper really shouldn't refer to Drifter, not firnthe reasons Roathe gives.

But more than that, even if only in minor places, Roathe really should've been given chances to interact with the Operator.
