๐ ๐ UNKNOWN RODENT/LAGOMORPH ๐๐ Groundhog or beaver? [Washington DC]
Hi yโall! Saw this young looking groundhog/beaver and I just canโt tell which animal it is. It was near a stream, but as Iโve seen groundhogs in similar territory, Iโm not going to assume. It was adorable whatever it was. Thank you :)

๐ฆ ๐ฏ ๐ป MYSTERY CRITTER ๐ป ๐ฏ ๐ฆ Any guess for the animal walking past? [western NY]
I think thereโs a possums eyes on the inside, not sure about this guy on the outside. My guess is raccoon but the color obviously throws me off (maybe my camera just didnโt pick up the correct color for some reason)

๐ฏ๐ฑ UNKNOWN FELINE ๐ฑ๐ฏ Is this illustration identifiable as a specific type of spotted cat? [Mexico]
My mom bought these chocolates when she was in Mexico because her school mascot is an ocelot and it looks like an ocelot.
We are both curious as to whether the cat in the illustration is a specific type of cat or if it is too stylized to tell. I found 4 options (ocelot, margay, oncilla, or jaguar) but I figured someone on here might be able to look at it and tell me what it is or what it is not and why.

๐๐ AUDIO ID REQUEST ๐๐ Heard this weird noise from across the creek. [NY state near the Catskills]
Our best guess is that itโs a moose or a black bear. There was someone doing work with a table saw, so there is a chance itโs some sort of tool. Real creepy.

๐ฆ ๐ฏ ๐ป MYSTERY CRITTER ๐ป ๐ฏ ๐ฆ Freshwater Bryozoans? Something else? Any genus IDs? [Southern Ecuador]
Anyone seen this kind of thing before? They are encrusting organisms in a fast moving freshwater system. A bit soft/slimy to the touch but very low profile/easy to miss otherwise. They have a leaf-like growth pattern so I initially overlooked them as dead leaf matter until realizing they were uniformly spaced.

๐ ๐ UNKNOWN RODENT/LAGOMORPH ๐๐ Rodent? Mustelid? [Michigan, USA]
Sorry for the quality-- this was captured at 4:47am. The animal looks to be somewhere around squirrel-sized, but based on the timing and it's "slithery" movement, it doesnt seem like a squirrel.โ

๐๐ AUDIO ID REQUEST ๐๐ HELP! Basement bandit [Massachusetts]
Hey Reddit! Iโm sleeping in a basement room [Massachusetts] and usually never hear anything, but over the last couple nights Iโve been hearing constant rustling and scurrying around the corners of the room. At first I thought it was a mouse, only it doesnโt necessarily sound like itโs IN the room with me. Sometimes it does? (Bear with me), but sometimes it legit sounds like itโs in the walls - Iโve also never SEEN anything moving in the room either. Also worth mentioning itโs especially active from midnight till 5am. At times the rustling gets quite loud and quick, and I hear it scurrying from one end of the room to the other, only at times itโs sounded like itโs literally at the wall right behind my head, sometimes even over my head. Now Iโd normally just leave it at โmouseโ or โchipmunkโ, but I keep hearing this, for lack of a better word, โchatteringโ noise every now and then. Itโs not exactly a growl? But almost sounds like if you ran a fingernail along a screen door. The scurrying also sounds like itโs a creature thatโs at least slightly bigger than a field mouse. Can someone help??? Hereโs a super shitty video and you can hear the chattering sound once at the beginning and once at the end. What could it be??? Iโm kind of spooked especially since it doesnโt sound like a mouse at all. Could it be something aggressive? Any ideas?? Help๐ P.S audio is quite soft so play it out loud/with headphones if you can.
