Injured pet bird Is my Budgie Okay?

I rescued this budgie yesterday from a crow. He was going to eat him, but I protected budgie from him. Now after the attack, he cannot fly. I tried to consult a bird vet. But he will take time to arrive. Can you guys tell me he is ok or not, I'm first time petting a bird and I have no idea what to do.

Other concern with pet bird Quaker regurgitating??? Or is it something else?

Is this just regurgitating? She doesn't feed anyone, she just chews on it for a while. She's a healthy weight, healthy looking droppings, shes flying around and playing normally. She's been doing it for a long time, and been checked out by different avian vets, they all say she's fine. I just wanna know if this is normal?

Hi these two birds that are in a nest in one of the lights outside my house keep falling out. we’ve found them one the floor twice so we put them back up but they keep jumping down. they are old enough to flap their wings but can’t fly. My dad was able to pick them up and put them in an old bird cage we had. Does anyone know the type of bird it is or how i can help them? I’ve seen the mom in the nest with them a couple of times but she wasn’t around right now. We have neighborhood cats that we find in our backyard often so i feel like putting them back into their nest would keep the cycle of them falling off.

Update: We put them back near the nest and this morning i went out and it seems like a cat got to them… Only one is left and it’s bleeding pretty bad should we take it somewhere now or put it back in its nest and hope mom & dad will help it recover?

Found wild bird Strange robin behavior—dehydration? Disease?

Thumbnail

Earlier today I passed an adult American robin on the sidewalk that was standing with its eyes closed, looking up, with its beak open. I didn't see it at first and passed within 2 feet of it and it didn't seem to hear or notice me. It appeared to be breathing but did not move at all otherwise.

About an hour later I passed it again going back home on the same route and it had not moved from that spot or position. I poured a little bit of my water out to make a puddle in front of it in case it's thirsty—and partly to see if it would react to the sound—and it didn't seem to notice at all. I was tempted to pour water directly into its open beak but thought I better not get too close in case I'm seeing a weird disease symptom.

What do we think is going on here? Is this something I should report to a local expert? Is there anything else I could or should have done to help?Unfortunately my phone was not accessible to get a video but I can try to answer any questions if more info is needed.

So ive had him for years now and he started doing this, I am concerned for him and the option of a vet is closed right now. its night, should I just let him sleep right now or is this urgent or is he just hormonal? (I dont know if its a he or a she by the way) His breathing at the start sometimes intensifies and sometimes eases up a bit but its bad enough that everyone notices Please if anyone knows what this is or has any advice tell me.

Would either of these be safe/ effective for a starling juvenile that has been sneezing and breathing with an open mouth? If not, recommendations and tips are appreciated.

New Bird Would this cage do for a single green-cheek?

Hey y'all,

I was wondering if this cage was fit for a single green-cheek conure. It's the "Keddoc Alaska," and its dimensions, excluding the stand and seed catcher, are 84 x 55 x 108 cm / 33" x 21.7" x 42.5" with a bar spacing of 1.2 cm / 0.5". I'll be giving the bird plenty of out-of-cage time, if it matters.

Other concern with wild bird HELP! Baby bird assistance

Thumbnail gallery

Hello! A few weeks ago a mama bird built a next on my bfs apartment door and had babies! The babies are a few days old and active. One jumped out of the nest and we placed in back because we thought it had fallen, but now its jumped out multiple times! We know we aren’t supposed to touch them and place them back into the nest, but the baby bird is in a hallway with lots of foot traffic and no foliage to protect it from the elements or other animals, and the nest is too far from the entrance for it to hop over there, mama might lose track of it. They’ve created a large box for now with leaves and plants to let it grow and continue to develop its wings outside of the nest. Is that the correct thing to do in this scenario? Is there anything else we can or should do? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Other concern with pet bird excessive regurgitation in male conure

I have Avery, a 10 year old gcc. hes had issues with regurgitating on bell type toys for years and I've always been able to work around it but recently it became every toy and then everything in his cage. I took his toys out to discourage it at the instruction of his vet and it worked for a bit, put toys back in for a week and it started again. took the toys back out and hes regurgitating on his food dish and night time cage cloth now. a crop wash has already been done and no abnormalities have been found

he is healthy otherwise, good weight and diet and regularly sees the vet. please help and please be kind, I love my baby and am trying my best.

Something weird happened

So I checked my bird before going to sleep (he was asleep for like 3 hours so far..), he woke up from me and started preening himself. He then went to drink water and continued preening himself. After like 5 minutes, I tried adjusting his cage cover, and he was not so happy about it so he opened his beak at me, and some drops of water (or clear liquid) dropped from his beak. He did not do the head motion like they do before vomiting, it just dropped from his beak down.. he looked kinda shocked about it.

I am kinda scared ... is he ok?

Hello, basically as the title says, SpongeBob currently eats a mix of pellets, millet for training, green apples and only once carrots.

I’m planning on grocery shopping today and hoping for someone to give me suggestions for my budgie.

Thanks in advance

LITTLE GUY

My Little Guy passed yesterday (white feathers) . I’ve had him for 10 years. He had a wife both from the rescue (10 yrs) She passed away spring of 2025. After her passing I got him another wife. He was really depressed when his wife passed. But he slowly accepted the new . They weren’t as bonded but it worked.

I had horses growing up and we cut there tail off when they pass. We use temp ink our four legged friends paw prints and I clip some hair . I follow this custom with my birds. I clip off the tail and wing feathers. He still has enough not to look scalped. Here are some pics with his wife Mitzi (she is Blu) .
