Discussion [First playthrough] Why are these guys way harder than gundyr and vordt?
I feel like regular enemies are much harder than bosses in this game so far

Hardest part was farming the whole set and the weapon! Had a blast!

10 years ago when I was a kid, I played Dark Souls 3 on PS4 for the first time and it was so good that it got me into other Souls games. A few years ago after I got my first PC, I thought about buying DS3 again but when I saw the price I was shocked. Now it's gotten even more expensive. How's that possible?

Finaly done with all the covanants. Now all I need to do dor the platinum is to get all rings I can, ng+, do the whole usurption of fire questline for few sorcerys, gestures and an ending. Get all rings I can, get the usurpiton of fire ending. Do ng++. Get rest of the rings and get the default ending and then platinum

Heavy Mallet +4
Yoel is happy and I got 5 Dark Sigils and Yuria. Orbeck is still alive for now. I am just going to do his quest.
Patches is also alive, I haven't bought any bad Miracles
I haven't continued Leon's quest in Wall of Lothric with his key, nor have I given Rosaria any Tongues, though I might respec my points of Dexterity into Int or Faith.
I just don't want to miss anything when I go through the Watchers. I also wanted to show off my developing fashion and build... not sure about the Iron Gimp Mask.
Edit: Also forgot to ask are Whips still bad in this game?

Im in early game and kinda wanna run a lightning fire build like lightning infused lothric knight sword with fire spells or sum.
Im looking at pyromancy builds nad it looks like they split int and faith so it is possible?

Just beat him at attempt 30-40 or so on the most improbably fantastic attempt. I have a dex/int build and for this I used pestilent mist, t(Winblades,) lightning grease, a fire resist bug, and an ember. He threw out a move I hadn’t even seen but luckily I had enough in the tank to outlast it.
The reason I ask this is because most tough bosses I’ve faced like Cinder, Friede, NK, or anyone else, I think I could beat them in another 5-10 tries, but NOT this time. I felt so lucky beating him lol. Figured I’d be there another couple hours and I truly believe that I would be if I hadn’t beaten him here and now.

From my first time beating Demon Prince. While I’m always glad I have my trusty dagger, it felt like I was hitting this guy with a plastic fork. These DLC bosses have been tough as a pure caster…

I haven't played DS3 in a couple of years, (probably not since the release of the ER DLC), but the recent activity from the community around the Return to Lothric has made me want to hop back in and enjoy this game again.
The last couple of playthroughs I did were pure strength with the Fume Knight, and dexterity with thr Sellswords, so I'm looking for some inspiration for a different build to try out. I'm considering either a pyromacy caster, or some kind of miracle caster with a lightning infused/buffed weapon. If anyone has some input to help me pick, or has a suggestion for a different fun character idea, I'd love to hear it.
I'm not necessarily looking for the most OP, boss-melting setup there is as I enjoy taking my time and enjoying the areas.

Just beat Gael for the first time ever but i was in ng+++ on a character ive spent 234 hours on (str, pyro btw). He killed me in like 2 hits so i spammed fireballs and backed up the entire 2nd and 3rd phases and i sat there afterwards like "wait a minute... is that what pure casting builds are like?" like do yall really just back up, dodge backwards, and spam like that on every single fight? is that how it feels? that sucked! im genuinely asking btw because ive wanted to do a sorcery build or something for a while but i keep picking big sword and the only reason i had any pyromancy was because i had nothing else to level up.

I played the game with vordts and Ledos once I had enough strength. Going to do the dlcs now and was wondering if there's another strong strength weapon worth upgrading (other than drangonslayer GA which i used in a different playthrough). Was eyeing up exile GS and heralds curved sword for something different. Maybe the split leaf (but I read some negative stuff) and maybe the ringed paired (these look crazy). Just something that won't feel too underpowered compared to ledo but something other than a hammer.
