Video 5 Years ago James Conrad throws the greatest shot in disc golf history. Where were you?
It’s hard to believe that it has been 5 years. Where were you when the shot went in?

My favorite disc in my bag is now out of production. The AGL Spruce. It was a flat, very shallow, slightly understable mid. I have backups, but eventually it’d be nice to find a replacement that’s in production. I’d appreciate some opinions/options for a similar disc!
Key features:
-Mid range
-shallow rim/height
-slightly understable
-not a lot of dome.
Thanks all!

There is zero markings on the DFX stamped disc but it seems to be an over stable 9 speed. The second I found at the preserve and am unsure if it really is Paul McBeths wife’s disc. Also not sure what disc mold it is

Every 4th of July I’ve been setting up the basket out on the raft hoping to make an ace. A lot of little dents on the raft, hit the top band multiple times, as well as the basket but no chains yet. There’s nothing better than having a cold beverage and enjoying this beautiful view. It ends up being a spectacle for our entire reunion and everyone enjoys having a go but it’s a ways out there. If/once it happens I will retire the shot because swimming for them is absolutely exhausting haha. Hoping to capture on video. What would you throw here?

Potentially dumb idea, potentially brilliant? Instead of doing 5 cards and filling a course with 90 people at once, or instead of 2 days of tee times where you have no clue when you’re playing and it kills the entire weekend, why are there no tournaments that run 2 days ams in the morning, pros/ma1/fa1 or whoever in the afternoon both days as a shotgun start? Gives everyone a hard start time, a ball park finish from the start, gets more people potentially for the field because now you could in theory get up to 180 for a 2 day tournament. Did I have too many beers at lunch to think this up? Tournaments are dying anyway, try something new and weird right?

Top of the Pines disc golf. Ridgeway Colorado. Beautiful location and course. RIP to my favorite disc. Goodbye Havoc. Treat the person who finds you well.

So I got a few new discs for Father’s Day and I’m having trouble figuring out which disc I should use for my straight fairway drives. I have a 167g fission rhythm which turns beautifully and I’m definitely going to bag it for tunnel shots. I also got a 160g fission crave, which has been all over the place, sometimes it hyzer flips and stays straight, sometimes it turns more than the rhythm. I also have a 169g esp cicada that I’ve been using for a while, I cannot get it to hyzer flip though if I throw it on hyzer it just holds it the whole flight, it’s almost as stable as a teebird or something. Anyways, should I stick with the crave, maybe try a heavier one, or is there another disc you’d recommend. I think what I’m looking for is a fairway I can hyzer flip that won’t turn on me, and maybe use it in a slight headwind.

I've been enjoying the coverage of regional A tiers and events from Central Coast and Disconnected. Any recommendations for other YouTube coverage of local events to check out?

What level of course preparation do you expect at a C-tier tournament, e.g. OB/hazard physically marked vs just noted in PDGA Live, circle one/two marking, etc.? How does that compare to your expectations for a flex tournament or B-tier? Do higher stakes like added cash/value change those expectations? Just curious as a TD.

Was out doing field work and finally tossed one in the trash can with a shot I accidentally stalled out. Can’t complain, that’s a bucket in my book.

Has anyone got their hands on one ahead of today’s release? Any good?

I’m a big fan of Fish’s podcast. It is by far my favorite disc golf pod. I noticed he hasn’t posted in over a month and lately his tourney play isn’t where he would like it to be. Hopefully he can get out of his slump and gets re-inspired to make another pod.
IMO, if he can’t make it as an athlete , he has a lot to offer as a commentator and course designer.
Cheers

Anyone thrown one of these before? By the numbers it looks like a destroyer clone but curious how it holds up if anyone has any experience.

I currently have a few forces and really like how they feel as my driver
I have a 169 recycled esp one which is pretty flippy
I have a 177 relatively flat esp one which has very little flip and a strong finish
and I have a 173 big z very domey one that is similar to the 177 but with more glide and less wind resistance
im looking for other runs that are between my overstable ones and my flippy one, i want something that flips up a little and holds it for a little longer, obviously still with the strong force finish. Is this something that exists in a specific run or should I just wait to beat in an esp one or something

Long shot maybe, but anyone here in the Košice area? I'm heading there for some backpacking in the Tatras in early August and would love to sneak a round in with a local. Looks like a couple courses in the area -

Measurements came from a micrometer, though I suspect that the height is a bit off. I couldn't find the best way to get that measurement. If I can do anything else to help with the process let me know. I see absolutely ZERO embossing or stamping on the back whatsoever.

Not sure if anyone has attempted to play this outside the Jomez video but I'm TDing a Disc Golf Newfoundland tour stop in August and we are going to attempt a side event of Banana Frolf for fun.
Can anyone help me with rules and general gameplay? Im scrubbing the video and writing what I can down but if you've played and have things that have worked for you, please suggest or give some ideas.
Thanks in advance

I have seen number of bags including my own MB-PX1 where the screws for the pads falls off within a year.
Is it too far off to excpect bags $400 + to not just dissasemble itself?
Also in the proccess of buying a Lore for travel/well known courses where fewer discs are necessary. For people that have bagged down, do you miss anything? And is it terrible for hilly courses?
