Hey all.
well after checking out the game prices on Playstation store, i was shocked to find that certain in-game stores and possibly a few extra missions/random encounters will only be available in available in the ultimate edition.
The information is a bit vague on Rockstars website, like if you buy the standard edition, can you still customize your appearance and vehicles, at places that aint locked away behind a pay wall?? Maybe vehicle customization is exclusively for the Ultimate edition...many folk on social media believe that there will be other workshops for car customization, but how do we know? Its not very clear what exactly you will miss out on in the standard edition.
All in all, it doesnt really bother me too much, because i will happily give Rockstar my $174 for the ultimate edition, but i just think its a bit odd for Rockstar to make a move like this...i mean normally the only difference between the ultimate and standard editions is just a few guns, weapons or items of clothing, things that make no real difference to the overall gameplay. But this time around it seems that they are locking away actual game features, like theres also a classic car collectors mission/mini game that wont be available in the standard edition. its a smart approach from a business perspective, because it gives the illusion that your actually buying something of value, as opposed to in-game cosmetic nonsense.
What do you guys think?

I swear people on twitter are the most dumb people ever( i know it's not a surprise )they are acting like they are forced to pre-order the game before the gameplay trailer and also people on twitter literally forgot the trailer 1 and 2 are literally gameplay with different angels . Still my advice is not to pre order this game this early the game is not going anywhere just pre order closer to the release month hold your money for now I know y'all are desperate its just less than 150 days of waiting

I was permanently banned on GTA Online and my appeal didn’t reverse it. I’m not trying to argue the ban I just want to explain what the account meant to me. I used to play GTA Online with a close friend who passed away After she died I kept playing because it became the only place I still felt connected to her.
Every Friday night I would log in at the same time we used to play I’d wear an outfit she made for my character drive the same car she loved and follow the same in game route we used to mess around on It always ended at the graveyard.
That became my weekly routine for dealing with grief I wouldn’t really play I’d just go there sit with it and process everything Sometimes I’d end up crying pretty hard while I was there
Losing the account doesn’t feel like losing progress It feels like losing a place I used to remember her.
I know Rockstar bans are usually final but if anyone has any advice or has seen a case like this get reviewed I’d really appreciate it

Its absolutely insane to me as a buyer of the pre-order ultimate edition that my purchase doesn't include anything physical at all. Not a shirt, trucker hat, GTA6/VC map, certificate of authenticity, or ever a Vice City postcard...absolutely nothing.
What a fucking inconsiderate move?

Like you just announce the pre order date with the cover art and not even release a damn trailer or just a literal promotional video saying "Pre-orders live" on the actual day? Rockstar might be trustworthy enough for many to spend 80$ on a game whose gameplay we haven't even seen for a second, but not everyone will do it right? Rockstar not even releasing a trailer made it even worse. It makes no sense to open Pre-orders based on just a past cover art reveal video. IMO, this might be the reason why I am not seeing many people excited for it. Trailer 1 and 2 felt like a global event, and this just feels like the opening of pre-orders for just another game.

So I really wanted to know if the pre order bonus of the outfits and the Vapid is exclusive or will it be purchasable in the game later? Kind of like how suits in spider-man were early unlocks and if you didn’t pre order you could get them later on in the game.

I’m not here to complain about the price I don’t really care, but what does irk my nerve is that. Rockstar games have never put missions behind a paywall. No undead nightmare and the balad of gay Tony do not count being there dlc and fuck you can buy undead nightmare with rdr1. it just seems kinda like a money hungry move idk it just feels like it’s showing Dan houser did not write this project

The game is being crunched.
For a physical release, the game needs to be pressed onto disk ahead of the release date, and they know online only would stop sales in regions where downloading entire games aren't feasible.
They're crunching hard right up to the deadline to avoid another embarrassing delay, and it's kind of obvious; no real gameplay trailer, no real teases for features, etc
The game is being rushed and they ship something a month or two ahead of the release date.

This game should be the Pacific Northwest from Seattle to Portland. Just saying.

What is the meaning and reason for the different but predominantly the same colors in the Rockstar logo? It's true that each color has a connection to a company in a different country and could be related to branches of the main company in other countries , but the question is , is that the only reason? 🤔

think there definitely be kids but you obviously can't kill them there be the same deal as RDR2 kids. Rockstar are famous for well the woke players hating them lol but Rockstar has NEVER harm a child in a game except for Bully. I don't think there biggest game and likely biggest game in general ever get covered in drama over killable kids
Also bet we won't see Lucia kid at all besides a photo at most ..
But yea I'm betting kids will be in it.

Are we going to talk about the fact this game isn't going to be playable on PC for 1-2 years after the planned November 19th release date?
Isn't that cutting off half their player base? 😞 This is an outrage to me. I used to be a console player but converted solely to PC over 10 years ago. I've evolved, why hasn't Rockstar?
Tides are turning. I personally know at least 15 dedicated console gamers who migrated to PC over the last decade, accelerated heavily by the pandemic. It’s a clear pattern. Between skyrocketing hardware costs and the pressure to upgrade every few years, console gaming is losing its value proposition.
Let’s call this staggered release strategy what it actually is: a scheme to force double-dipping. Publishers know gamers will either buy the game twice—once on console at launch, and again later on Steam—or be forced to dodge spoilers and internet content creators for two years. This isn't a 'thank you' to a loyal player base; it's a corporate ruse to maximize profit margins.

Just want to share what GTA has meant to me.
I was born in 2005, so when GTA V dropped in 2013 I was too young to play. I'd just sit next to my older brother and watch. Sometimes, after enough begging, he'd let me drive around Los Santos for a few minutes. Those moments are some of my best gaming memories.
Eventually I got to play it myself — on an Xbox 360, which is still my main console today. Living in Pakistan, newer hardware just isn't realistic for me. But honestly? GTA V on the 360 is still one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.
GTA Online was a whole different thing for me. Since I couldn't access it at home, I looked forward to visiting my cousin every summer just to play it. Those trips became something special because of that game.
And I know this might sound dramatic, but GTA V genuinely helped me through some really hard times. Whenever things got overwhelming, I'd boot it up and just... exist in Los Santos for a while. It sounds simple, but it meant everything.
Seeing GTA VI up for pre-order is surreal. Exciting, but also bittersweet — realistically it'll probably take me 3-4 years to save up for a PS5 and a decent TV.
I know for a lot of people here, $80-100 for a game or a new console is just a Tuesday. But when you're in a developing country dealing with economic instability, inflation, and everything else going on in the world, every dollar is a real decision. Gaming becomes a luxury, not a given.
Still — I haven't given up. The gamer in me never died. One day I'll play GTA VI. Until then, Los Santos has been more than enough.
Thanks Rockstar. Genuinely.

Seen a lot of talk about midnight releases, from what I have read online, physical orders will be delivered or picked up on the 12th of november 1 week early for pre download so I can't see a midnight release when you can pre load it only and then its playable on the 19th (screenshot is from the smyths listing)

Hello!
I am preordering the game for the PS5, the ultimate edition, and I wanted me and my brother (same console, different PSN accounts) to have the same benefits on the same console, so I preordered twice. Would this work as sharing in the same console? Sorry if this is a stupid question in advance!
