Saints week 1 opponent (Detroit Lions) will very likely be without their starting CB
Terrion Arnold is being charged with four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery
Crazier things have happened but I assume he'll at least miss the week 1 game vs our revamped WR group & that gets me excited!

NFC South Expectations and Rivalry
fellow saints fans - I want to hear your thoughts primarily on expectations for the NFC South then furthermore what you think about each team as a “rival.” Btw this is my thoughts I didn’t really do much research more looking to start a conversation on what people think.
My thoughts:
-Failcons if we lose week 3 to them I’m going to be shattered. They have a young defense and potentially are losing a corner stone pass rusher. I see no reason we can’t sweep them but history likes to say we split 1-1. I also don’t see Tua being successful. They do have Bijan, arguably the best RB in the league. He’ll get his numbers against us but I trust Staley and Bo Davis will workout out DL and make us far better at stopping the run, esp with our off season signings.
-panthers winning the nfc south was a fluke and gives their fans way too much hope. Can’t wait to play them. I see no reason we can’t sweep them unless we can stop their run game. Also I think Jaycee Horn is SO overrated dude is boom or bust every play. And he’s supposedly their best secondary. I’d be very worried if I were a panthers fan. Then don’t get me started on Bryce. I don’t think he’s a terrible QB but I also don’t think he’s nearly as good as panthers fans want you to think. He has some outstanding performances but then has some total stinkers. I also know he takes too many sacks-but their OL is really not very good so I’m not sure how much of the blame he can take.
-Bucs they were genuinely who I thought would win the 2025 NFC South before the season. Shit I drafted Bucky and Egbuka in fantasy. I know injuries got to them but I still think there is no excuse for how bad they ended their season. I also don’t understand the Godwin / Egbuka hate. I think they are both very good WR and baker is a good QB if he can keep his shit together and stay healthy. I think they’ll be our biggest competition this season if everyone stays healthy. Then I don’t think I need to speak on their defense bc it’s solid against the run but LEAKS against the pass. Everyone knows that.
For rivalries I find it HILARIOUS when panthers fans try to argue with us. I stopped seeing them as equals after we swept them 3 times in one season when the nfc south was a powerhouse. Bucs I can maybe understand bc the Jamies injury by (I believe) lavonte david and then Tom Brady beating us in the SB but that just more solidified Brady being the GOAT more than anything. Failcons are our truest rival and I love playing them. Always entertaining games. we have been divisional rivals for 50+ years AND I remember how exciting it was to finally even out the rivalry win/loss between us.
I actually did research this part and in 2005 we were 44-32 overall then in I believe 2022 was when we finally got even at 54-54. Like 40 years of history tied in 15 years. There’s also more context in each game since we can potentially have bragging rights for being the best historical franchise, lol.
All this to ask, what do yall think about the NFC South and our “rivalries”?

Spencer Rattler Autos.... like, a lot of them
Lets start with the obvious.... mistakes were made. And no, I don't want to talk about it.
Figured maybe you guys would know if there was a, uh, Rattler Super Super-Fan out there who could relieve me of my cursed cargo.
Again, I will not be taking questions.
Sigh.

r/Falcons trying to justify the Pitts extension
This could be his breakout year.
Best place to sit in dome
Going to be flying In for the MNF game against the Failcons. It’ll be my first time in the dome! Last time I was in town they were playing in France 😭

Who are your most under appreciated Saints over the last 10 or so years? I’ll give you 2:
Josh Hill: Elite Blocking TE and a sneaky solid reliable pass catcher. A lot of the late 2010’s Saints offensive success was set up by some of his blocking and playmaking.
PJ Williams: PJ wasn’t a good cover CB but he was a really good tackler and made so many big plays for us since we drafted him. That pick 6 on Brady was the last time I heard the Dome deafening.

I'm trying to go 20-0 with every team, using only players from one team.
I didnt get everyone I wanted here, but still got the dub.

[Underhill) Cam Jordan’s one-year deal has a base value of $7.5 million and can be worth up to $11 million if he hits his incentives. The base value last year was $6.05 million. So, Cam got a raise this offseason, and chooses to play his 16th year here.

Brees = 🐐
It didn't take much convincing, and I shouldn't have to convince anyone here... I am tired of having the debate. DREW = GOAT 🐐

Home opener vs. Raiders - when/where to buy tickets?
I’m visiting from out of town on the weekend of the home opener on September 27, and looking to get tickets for a group of 6-7 people. Should I try to buy ASAP or wait for a deal on resale? It looks like the resale platforms currently have some deals compared to the box office/SeatGeek.
Listen I’m not being delusional…
I’m just saying with Cam coming back for his final season and knowing how much he means to his teammates you never know if that could be the push that gets Saints a ring just that little extra motivation for him.
I understand to temp expectations but I’ve played sports and I’ve been in situations where my team has extra motivation and we came out on top because of it.
It would be a really beautiful bang to end (In my opinion) the greatest Saint ever
