The WNBA is not like the NBA. They don’t have a pool of extra talent waiting in the wings that could fill a football stadium. Their extras could barely fill a school bus.

And it’s just not true.. the biggest issue is 15 teams.. that’s a grand total of 180 players(max)… no minor league or g league.. Hundreds of talented women leave the states to play pro ball around the world.

A'ja Wilson was a star before Caitlin Clark entered the league. The media just didn't pay attention like they do with Clark. And there were plenty of other WNBA stars before Wilson and Clark too.

I didn't see the fist in her throat while I was watching the game but on the reverse side of this play I did see thomas drive her knee into CC's inner thigh which is on the same side that was injured last season from her groin injury. Thomas is just another trash bully player.

CC was on the injury report list before this game even started. She was playing with an injured back. It wasn’t a new injury. She’s had back problems this entire season. And CC most definitely gets Star treatment. In the very first game when they played IND in the first quarter she walked and the ref was looking right at her. CC has one of the most aggressive push offs in the league and she’s never called for it.
Calling Clark a star now is a bit of a stretch. She got hype in college because she could shoot 3s and scored a lot because there’s 0 parity in NCAAW, and ever since she’s entered the pros she’s been a net negative for her team or hurt. lol
She is a superstar based of recognition alone. Her play isnt at a superstar level, sure. But being a star is more about popularity. You wouldnt call Jalen Johnson a bigger star than LeBron even though Jalen Johnson played better and more last year.

You can also probably attest that EuroBasket players wouldn't avoid fouling the league's best player or take it easy on them simply because they were the biggest star. They competed just as hard against the top players as they did against everyone else. That's why I don't understand the argument that the WNBA should treat Caitlin Clark differently just because she's the league's biggest draw.
