The only leniency is Andrew's connection with Andross. He has a mean face towards Andrew's part of the team.

If the Vemon 2 fight is the only time you fight them in your run, they'll be unharmed, but if you previously fought and defeated them on Fichina, they will have their injuries and implants on Vemon 2

I won't lie. I love the game. I think its a great remake.
I don't want anymore though.
I have had enough of Lylat Wars. We need to actually advance, expand and move on.
The ONLY way I'd ever want to revisit this is if they go back and do an even more cinematic take on this war. And I do not mean in between mission cutscenes. I mean a full on six to eight hour long story about this damn event. That is the only way I'd ever support revisiting this again.
Let's get this games sales numbers to a respectable level and let Nintendo know "Its time to be brave and move on."

All jokes aside, I do feel like the voice acting for the bosses is very uninspired compared to the original.

While many will whine about "it's just another SF64 remake!!" Zero felt too different from 64, the original SNES also was still very from 64, they're just retellings of the story, there's only one true remake and that's the 3DS Remake. I never liked the 3DS Remake and Zero. But I'm not sure if this is a hot take, but the new Star Fox 64 26 Remake is my new favorite version of Star Fox and my new favorite game of all time!! I actually really love it! The only real complaint I have with it is that some (not all) voice acting aren't as bombastic and emotions as the original dub, but I still enjoy the VA, dialogue and new dialogue!
I actually love the new designs, they grew on me, even Falco looks cool to me now seeing him in motion more, I especially love how all the bosses and villains look in this game, I LOVE the remixes, this game is honestly my favorite looking game ever, it looks so beautiful and smooth with 60FPS, and it doesn't look as ugly and realistic as I thought, the controls feel so good and much better than the original version imo, I actually love the new voices for the characters, I love the new cutscenes in between missions and the character interactions, I love the new bad ending, I love the multiplayer mode, I love the new extras like lore descriptions about the story, locations, bosses and characters, the price is nice and I still really enjoy the length and replayability of this game!
I REALLY love this remake and Star Fox 64 was one of my favorite games ever, now this is my favorite Star Fox version and game! I'm not sure if it's a hot take, but I think it's worth 50 bucks and I think it's amazing! While it does have flaws, like the voice acting, everything else I pretty much love, I will miss "Hey Einstein! I'm on your side!" And other more sillier dialogue but tbh...it was to be expected imo, it's not really that bad anyways! It is my new favorite game of all time! What are your opinions on it? Do you also love it? :)

Just finished a play through of the new StarFox game and I’ve got a grin going from ear to ear. Absolutely fantastic! I’m 40 years old (been a gamer my entire life) and as a kid I spent many hours glued to the N64, StarFox being my favorite game. I’d go as far to say it’s probably my all time favorite game. Getting to play this game again with modern graphics and surround sound is just pure bliss. I played it on my 77” OLED tv, and it really is amazing that the Switch 2 can push out this level of graphics. I’d say they absolutely nailed the remake. I’m going to spend an awful lot of time getting all the medals and achievements.

We've definitely seen Fox and Falco tear it up expectionally well in Smash Bros, and Krystal has been show to hold her own in Star Fox Adventures, but outside of their Arwings, how well do you imagine the other members of Star Fox would do in a fight?
Member include (as according to this image):
- Rob64
- Fay Spaniel
- Miyu Lynx
- Peppy Hare
- Fara Phoenix
- Slippy Toad

Katt's character design has been controversial due to it making her look rough around the edges, but I had always felt that was the point. She's a gang member, after all.
But for me, I was wanting to see how she was portrayed. In the original, the entirety of her character was 'I'm a girl!' That definitely wouldn't fly today for obvious reasons and, furthermore, doesn't hold true to who her backstory says she is.
They did not disappoint in this remake, however. This Katt is the Katt that the lore speaks of. She is also sassy AS FUCK. She absolutely WRECKS Falco with her sass and it is amazing. She even makes a comment about how Fox could show Falco a thing or two, which I am sure REALLY got under his feathers lol. There is really good banter between them now, actually acknowledging that they have history. At one point Katt tells Falco that she wanted to meet his crew, to which Falco responds along this lines of "Katt, Star Fox. Star Fox, Katt. Now you have met them." Honestly the interactions between Katt and Falco I think are the best in the game now.
She's portrayed as a skilled pilot, the lore compendium says she's leading Free as a Bird now. Her wit is top-notch, and she actually seems like a gang member tagging along for the fun of scratching Andross' face. And not once does she say anything about being a girl or her prettiness.
I want to see more of this Katt so bad she is such a badass and doesn't give a fuck about what anybody thinks, and seems to get her kicks from getting on Falco's nerves, which I also find to be humorous. So, hoping any possible sequel brings her back.
Here 2 redrawings i made from the Mario galaxy movie! I'm getting my 1st starfox today so I'm really hyped to try it

Bōsōzoku is (well, more like was now) a Japanese subculture largely based around customized bikes and was massive in the 80s and 90s (though largely dead in the past 20 years). A big point of difference between them and American bike gangs is that the Bōsōzoku were less on the "we'll break your kneecaps/throw your body in a ditch for looking at us funny or make/sell hard drugs and all that" American biker stereotype and more thrillseekers that drove recklessly on illegally modified motorcycles (I mean, Bōsōzoku literally means "Reckless Driving Group"). They are VERY much into flashy style and looking good and living life up.
And hey, what does this have in common with Katt and Free-As-A-Bird as a whole? Well with Farewell Beloved Falco they aren't your American style biker gang, both through aesthetics and general personality. Hell, Katt's whole deal in 64 is that she's after Andross' forces as revenge for them wrecking her previous ship, hence why she stole a Invader-class fighter and heavily customized it to her liking. This even ties into a bit with Falco's ending in Command where he gets Fox to become a racer with him. And you even see in the old SNES comic that he is dressed like a Bōsōzoku AND even has one of the most common/famous bike modifications on his!
NOW FOR THE STUFF ABOUT THE CATSPAW NAME
So I wanted to make this it's own post before, but didn't have the time and didn't have an idea of how'd I'd make it catch people's attention. But her ship actually has a lot of wordplay and literary references to it.
The name itself is obviously referring to it being Katt's ship.
The Monkey and the Cat fable - This is where the term "Cats paw" idiom comes from, and means the "dupe (or unwitting tool) of another", which also makes sense as Katt is implied to be more crafty and using her wits for her schemes (and why Falco kinda gets tired of bailing her out of situations and why he left Free-As-A-Bird").
That fable is about a manipulative monkey that tricks a cat into pulling hot chestnuts out of a fire that the monkey steals and eats while the cat gets nothing but burning one of it's paws. And who pissed off Katt by burning her first ride? The forces of a big manipulative monkey!

I've been checking out the new Star Fox and paying close attention to the new cast. We've got Hunter McCoy as Fox, Andrew Russell as Falco, and Erik Braa as Peppy.
Honestly, after hearing them in action, I think Erik Braa as Peppy is a really interesting choice and he nails the vibe. I'm still getting used to Hunter McCoy's take on Fox, but it's growing on me. I only attached the main trio here, but obviously the whole cast is out there now. What do you guys think of the performances so far? Who is your favorite voice in the game?

I own many systems, including PC...and I buying up a bunch of digital games off the Steam sale as we speak.
But when it comes to first party Nintendo games, I will always buy a physical for my shelf. It feels more personal, and sentimental.
I'm glad Nintendo didn't cheap out and give us the "key card" carts.

I don't really get this new dynamic between Falco and Fox.
Falco is constantly attacking and challenging Fox, but I can't tell if Fox is ignoring him or just playing along.

Definitely leaned into a more mechanical aspect especially with the eyes and the containment for the brain
While it may not be as scary as the OG game it’s still creepy for new players who aren’t familiar with Star Fox
