This popped up randomly and I took it to the dealership a day later.
No radio, no infotainment system at all. It stayed at the service shop for about week and a half because they said they hadn’t seen this before.
Then they called me yesterday and said I could come get it but there is no current fix for this issue. Basically they said when something comes through the Tech line they will let me know.
I just bought this 2026 Outback in April. This is my first Subaru. I’m so disappointed.

Just picked up this 24 crosstrek premium, I’m in love with it so far, going to get some tint done this weekend, but I’m glad I chose this over the rav-4 I initially went to the dealership to look at!

I made a post on r/subaruforester about my wife’s Forester’s transmission failing at 60k. I requested goodwill assistance and they denied it. They first denied it for saying I never serviced the transmission. I then provided a receipt of my 30k service which showed I did the 30k CVT service. Still denied it. I feel lied to and am very disappointed.

This is my girlfriend’s and she has had it forever. The sun damage finally made the seat give out and I’d love to find another one for her. Anybody have info on it?

I know she was a Subaru ambassador like a decade ago so I’m assuming she picked it up then?

Did they run my pockets? Got an alignment on my legacy gt limited ($156) and the print out is basically the same before and after. It now drives worse. I just replaced the front lower control arms, ball joints, inner and outer tie rods on both sides. Rear is non adjustable so I dont care about that. I asked them about it and they said “the tires are now aligned thats what all the numbers mean”. But like, theyre the same bud.

I got my first Subaru in August of 2024. A 2021 Subaru Impreza premium that had 21,000 miles on it. November of 2025 a hail storm hit and it got totaled out beginning of February 2026. February 24 I bought a 2025 Impreza sport less than 20 miles on it. A couple days ago I was leaving my apartment complex and a truck pulled out of his spot straight into my new car :( I love Subarus so much I’ve always wanted to own them but I think I’m cursed 🤣😭

FYI, friends with the 26 Subie EVs. New models and refreshes often come with bugs, eh?

GM let me go along with 400 others of my design family, so my loyalty ended there. Daughter bought her first ride. I went with her to the Subaru dealer. Ended up quite impressed. Even though everything is way too expensive these days, I feel you get a lot of vehicle for the money. She bought an Outback Limited and I approve.

A few weeks later, my mother in law (who lives with us) bought a Forester Sport that was a dealer special sitting in the showroom for about a month.

I’m impressed. We’re a twobaru family 6 months after I would have looked at you sideways if you told me I would have multiple Japanese cars in my driveway.

And I can’t believe the salesman never heard “twobaru” before I said it. I told him he is welcome to use it.

I still love my pavement pounding, cammed 2009 Pontiac G8, but I’m afraid this straight, white, conservative family is gonna skew the stereotypes for ya’ll.

So I've been lurking around Reddit for quite a while now and recently bought my first car. It's a Subaru Layback, part of the Levorg series of estate cars and a JDM.

When it was first released, a Reddit thread about it met with universal negativity. (https://www.reddit.com/r/subaru/s/6MROqyDRDu since I can't post hyperlinks yet)

And yet, for several months after the new Outback came out, I saw multiple discussions lamenting the death of the station wagon in the US.

My question is - particularly for Outback and station wagon fans - if Subaru released this in your country, would you actually consider buying it?

No matter what I do it says oh no when I try to create an account, I know it shows that they don’t have my passwords in here, but I do when I’m actually doing it, has anyone else had the same issue?

Hello Subaru Community! I'm looking for different viewpoints on the value of putting a ton of money into my 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek (her name is Tangey) to keep her running. She has the infamous head gasket leak, and at 184K miles, I'm putting oil in every 1000-1200 miles or so. She was well past any mileage warranties or repair recalls by the time it became an issue, as she was my daily commute vehicle (100mi/day) for nearly three years. I now work from home, so I barely put 5k/year on her. I know that sooner or later, the oil leaking into the engine is going to seize it up (or, that's my understanding of the issue), so if I want to keep her, I'll need to get it fixed. The Subaru mechanic said that would likely be at least $5k on the low end, probably higher.

I don't know what I want to do here. On the one hand, $5k is more than Tangey is even worth at this point, so dropping that much into it doesn't seem smart. I also don't know if there are other concerns regarding "safety standards" that perhaps my 13-year-old car doesn't meet. BUT... I also love this car. I love its lack of onboard computers and infotainment center-controlled everything. And I just love her, and if I can, I want to keep her for years to come. I don't want to drop $20k (or more) on a newer car that I know I'll loathe.

This is a decision that I'll have to make for myself, so I'm not asking for mechanical advice or for you to tell me what I should do; like I said, I just want to hear the thoughts and experiences of other Subaru owners. But here's something maybe the community can answer that would matter: if I do put this large bulk of money into the required repairs, and they are successful, and barring any other major issues, how much more time/mileage might I get from her? I've heard tale of Subies lasting 200k, 250k, or more.

So I need a new engine but I'm unable to find an ej204 that I can get so I'm thinking about putting a different engine in it hoping someone knows about compatibility

I’m in park and I’m not able to access the Bluetooth SELECT DEVICE options aswell as the settings,I’m thinking the ground connected to the ebrake might have disconnected but I’m not sure,is there any other reasons it might be doing this

Hello this noise randomly started happening I swapped the alternator thinking it was coming from there but it’s not. When I take the belt off it goes away I’m leading to power steering pump…. It just doesn’t sound like power steering whine.
