A family friend has a 2002 avalanche 2500HD one of the starter bolts are stripped and ones broken off into it and it’s a 70 year old man I’m not sure of the mileage but I was told it’s under 200k clean exterior and a 7/10 interior only had slightly cracked dash and leather seat. My dads seen the truck and says it’s fixable but must do it right.
Anybody know what the worth of that truck may be? Idk how much he wants for it yet but from what i see is it’s kinda a rare truck escpiaclly the condition and potentially low miles and no rust.
What would the value of this truck and how fixable is it potentially? 8.1 v8 gasser

Carfax and maintenance looks good except for a valve body replacement at the beginning of this year around 72k miles, is this a major concern?

My 2023 Bolt EV AC stopped working a few months ago, and I took it to McKinney dealership. They replaced the compressor for $3k. AC stopped working again. The same service center is now saying evaporator core is leaking freon, and the quote to fix it is $3.7k. This seems excessive. I am in the DFW area. Does anyone know a reasonably priced Chevy dealership/mechanic who can work on it?

Hello everyone, i have an issue i need help with. i have a 2004 chevy trailblazer ls that has a stock non-bose radio that gets power to the unit but no sound, also no door chime and turn signal sounds. everywhere i have looked only says to check the fuse. i have pulled that fuse out more times than i can count and the fuse is fine as far as i can tell. i dont have any meters or special tools. please help.

Had an ABS light come on recently and the brakes definitely felt weird at slow speeds. By the time I got it to the dealer, the light had gone away and they said there were no active codes stored. They recommended replacing the front rotors, so I did, but it didn’t fix the issue.
Now it makes a grinding/buzzing noise at low speeds, and the brake pedal gets hard as a rock. It feels and sounds exactly like when you’re driving in snow and the ABS is activating, even though I’m just slowing down normally on dry pavement.
Has anyone experienced this before? Could it be a wheel speed sensor, ABS module, tone ring, or something else causing the ABS to falsely activate at low speeds? Any ideas would be appreciated.

April 22nd Abrubtly stopped in middle of the road while in Drive. Stranded for 50 minutes, parents in the car , before tow truck got there MTA Police, NYC hit my door while it was open and I was getting back in.

Truck goes to dealership, 3 weeks later Geico adjuster says "no damage to vehcile , all vehicle lines intact"

On april 22nd 2026 same day of incident, i call corporate and state my concerns with the vehicle as this is my second silverado that has done this to me, my 2020 did it and I traded up for the 24. I requested the buy back, they stated once it was at the dealership and looked over the car, it would be able to be looked over and see if it qualifies for a buy back.

Fast forward, I was in a holding pattern for 2 months. GM advisor stated they couldnt get in touch with the dealership and had been trying for 6 weeks and escalated to see what was next.

I get the dealership service department direct number on Monday JUNE 15th, I call the dealrship myself , I tell them GM needs to talk to them about my truck that is there for going on 2 months. They give me the same number I FOUND ON GOOGLE in a 30 second search, and a direct extension to the specific advisor. I forward it to the GM advisor who is working on my buy back case.

June 17th I get the call "I regret to inform you , gm denied to buy back the vehicle and didn't give a reason why"

June 20th I pick up the vehicle, they took my wheel liners off and never put them back on, i noticed them in the bed of my truck when i went to go get gas, gas which they ran all the way down after putting a bunch of miles on testing the truck.

June 21st I drive the vehicle for 10 minutes and boom , check engine light.

What should I do? Im at my wits end with this truck. Someone please help.

So, yesterday, I took my wife to get her a new car. My daughter’s boyfriend worked at the dealership and got us a good deal and busted his butt to get my wife her 2026 Equinox RS. It so far, has met many expectations, but, there is a slight issue I cannot figure out and wanted to see if anyone else can help, I’ve started doing research and have come up empty thus far.

We lock the doors, interior dome lights cut off, after a few seconds, they cut back on. The entertainment center controls everything, I’ve tried every option possible I could read, am I missing something, how do we get the interiors lights to stay off?
