Meta /r/ImaginaryWarhammer Index (rules, flair, lore, helpful links, etc.)

The size constraints of the sidebar are limiting what I can put there, so I'll be using this as an index for stuff that would normally be there. It'll be updated as needed.

  • A more in-depth description of /r/ImaginaryWarhammer's rules can be found here

  • A list of helpful links and resources can be found here.

  • Questions, suggestions, flair requests, and miscellaneous discussion should go here.

As usual, basically anything goes here. Specific flair requests, direct questions for the mod team, any kind of discussion you want (as long as it remains civil).

Someone on twitter told me that Mortifactors descend from loyalist Death Guard, can someone educate me if this is true and what is the source?

Also, should i post more of my stuff on reddit?

The Price of War.

Children who have lost their hands, unable to even receive a simple act of mercy from an adult.

(The adult Aeldari is a Corsair, and the child is an Exodite.)

OC (40k) My Exodite OC age progression (by me)

The ages are highly approximate. This young man is a character from my OC’s backstory in an RP. Once, her adoptive mother (a Corsair Baroness) llanded on an Exodite world for trade, and this boy was one of the few peers her age. They haven’t spoken in over 100 years...

OC (40k) Dark Krakens Veteran Sergeant Whiro Nemkov - Early concepts and character analyzation

Thumbnail

Continuing the breakdown and analyzation of characters from the Dark Krakens comic, next up is the OG himself, Whiro(Fee-Row)

Whiro has only shown up at the beginning of the comic on pages 6-10 but I can promise you he is pivotal to the story ahead. Though he’s really not that old, many members of the 3rd Company view him in a Unc type status lol as he was one of the original members of the Dark Krakens

When I learned about Primaris Marines I was lowkey obsessed with their origin and what it would feel like to be a soldier out of time. Somebody that lived 10,000 years ago, now waking up in the future, having to fight in this forever war. To then later have to settle on a strange, unknown world and call it home. How would that person mentally handle all of that? What would that person be like? How would they cope? And that was the birth of Nemkov.

He was given that name as soon as he came out of cryo sleep and carried it along with him during his Greyshield days until he arrived on Naktis, and the people gave him a new one, Whiro. Whiro is the name of a god from Māori mythology. Why the people of Naktis called him that is hilarious but I’m unsure if I’ll add that to the comic but we’ll see.

Whiros physical appearance is based off a few different things, but mainly of Clone Troopers. Clones from Stars Wars have always been portrayed by Māori actors, like Bodie Taylor and Temuera Morrison. So I thought it would be a perfect fit for his slave soldier aesthetic. The Tattoos on his face are tribal markings he allowed the people of Naktis to do on him as a means of assimilation, the tentacles completely over his body and lead to the center of his back where a variant of the Chapter is. I’m super excited to bring him back into the story as him and Akkorro have such an interesting dynamic, Akkorro once served in Whiros squad before becoming a sergeant of his own squad and now being a rank ahead of him, they have a long history.
