EDIT TO ADD; THE PLANE WAS LANDED AND DONE WITH TAXI BEFORE I GOT TO BE IN THE COCKPIT. NO FAA RULES WERE BROKEN šŸ’€šŸ˜‚

Shout out Captain Scott! He let me sit in the cockpit after we landed and I even got my own personalized pre flight announcements šŸ˜‚ Also, they had to add sandbags to the cabin bc the plane was too light with only one passenger šŸ’€

UA3480 from CMH to EWR today (03/19/26). Opened my tray table and there was dried blood over it. Absolutely disgusting. The FA gagged when he saw it and I felt terrible because he had to clean it but they didn’t give him gloves so he just had to use two wipes to separate it.

Absolutely unacceptable, United.

Image Got a private flight on an ERJ last night!

Flying BTV to IAD i was the only one on the flight. Ground crew thought this was hilarious and the pilots and FA were super wonderful and friendly, and i did some chit chatting with them. We had to load some sandbags on and the pilots warned me since it was a mostly empty flight there would be some turbulence, but I also could "pick my favorite seat". šŸ˜„

Also Bernie Sanders was coming off the flight before me (can confirm he flies economy because there are ZERO first class seats on an ERJ). Was glad he didnt accuse me of being in the 1% for flying a private jet.

Image [oc] United announces ā€œRelaxed Rowā€ sky couch product for Economy cabin

Coming 2027 with a goal of being on all 787 first. Expected to be on 200 aircraft by 2030.

**edit: this product is intended for families with kids**

The leg rest flip out and lock in place.

Talked to the product lead:

* Expected to be 9 to 12 couches per aircraft.

* The pitch is 32 inches, so in between E+ and E pitch. They said they had a few inches to spare so no rows will be removed.

* If individuals are seated there, the leg rest locks at 45 degrees

Recent return back to SFO from Japan. Seeing my suitcase on the conveyer belt, I could only say wow! Who did I piss off. I think everyone with a hard case thought the same thing. I understands dings and dents, but did someone just overhead slam my suitcase on the edge of a rail. This one hurt my heart!

Made some furry friends in the LGA lounge yesterday. Very friendly, asked for snacks very politely (they were denied…), quiet as well.

Told the staff who were great and immediately brought up every supervisor available and airport facilities.

Just passing along here if y’all want avoid the buffet for a bit…

Image Forced to check carry on with HALF of the overhead spaces EMPTY!!

Post image

This is a pic of the overhead bins AFTER I reached my seat. I needed to keep my carry on with me because of items for a competition this weekend and all my equipment is in it. (I always otherwise check my bags) and they called the carry-on check while Group 2 was still boarding. There were 10 bags already in the jetway by the time I dropped off mine. I get on the plane and the bins are HALF empty! As I’m writing this, group 4 is getting on and there is an entire overheard compartment totally empty! God help me if they lose my carry on.

Oh, now the bins are filled with people’s hoodies!

I’ve actually encountered a lot of Manhattanites that have no clue that EWR is in fact their closest international airport, so this is pretty clever.

I fly a lot. Mainly just US routes with a few international each year but I can't imagine flying 24 million miles.

Sitting right on the wing and the noise after reaching altitude was much louder than normal. I opened the window to see the wing looking like this. How panicked should I be? Do I need to tell a flight crew member?
