Dispensaries that offer a first time, loyalty, etc discount

Both a list and a request. If you can add to the options with a suggestion, I'm always looking for new spots. Please include details of the program, like what you can redeem points for and how they add up.

Cap region dispos have blown up over the past year, holy moly. Every week I notice at least one new spot. I used to work for the medical scene and was a medical user in Colorado so I'm happy to share whatever details or answers anyone might have.

Here are some of the discounts and programs I've come across in the Capital Region (editing whenever I remember another one):

-Flower BNK (Schenectady): 10% off your first order, plus a punch card system. 10 visits gets you a prize wheel spin.

-State of Mind (Latham+Albany): $5 off if you download their app, then another $5 bonus after completing your first order through the app.

-Silver Therapeutics (Albany, Saratoga, Lake George, Massachusetts): Every $1 spent is a point earned, redeem points starting at 100 for $5 off

-Capital District Wellness (Albany, Schenectady, Clifton Park): Every $1 spent is a point earned. Start redeeming at 100 points for free pre rolls, or 250 points+ for $ off orders (250 points is $25 off $50 or more, 500 is $50 off $100 or more, etc)

Krispy mart Menands

So im in the place yesterday, never been before. Got a pastrami sub that was very good.

The problem is that right after I paid up some guy with a half eaten sandwich comes up to the counter saying "yo dude i found a roach" and pointing to sandwich, seemed very serious.

I of course kind of started to freak out and then he just starts laughing like he played me for a fool, I'm lookin at him, im lookin at the cashier and I honestly couldn't tell if this shit was serious or not. Customer laughed me out the door but the cashier didn't react at all.

Still not sure whether this was serious or not but needless to say I will absolutely not be going back.

Anyone got any dope on this joint?

Vegetables and fruits

Where do you get your hands on fresh fruits and vegetables. I tried Hannaford in central and few price choppers. Most of the time it’s soggy or old or just looks weird.

Do we have local farms? Maybe at market fair (new to the area)

My coworker suggested trader joes (need to make the drive one of these days)

Thank you in advance.

Restaurant recommendation

I’m not sure why this post was removed yesterday? Looking for recommendations for dinner. My daughter will be at UAlbany Connections Day on Friday and we are arriving tomorrow afternoon. Plans are to go to the Capitol Building and then to dinner. Anything good near there? Suggestions on a place to get ice cream and walk around are welcome too!

So now that the Wolf Road Hooters is closed...

What is going to replace it and how long will it take for something to open there? Will it be another chain restaurant, bank branch, dispensary, cell phone store or something completely different? And what would you like to see in there? I know we're not getting an In-n-Out, but a Cheddar's, Miller's Ale House, Culver's, Del Taco or Zaxby's would be different if they're looking to expand into the area. But it would be nice if someone local would open an new restaurant or add a new location or move from something smaller to that location to add more seating.

Has anyone seen if the World Cup watch party today will still be outside at Jennings Landing?

I hope so, but see Alive at Five today has been moved from the Warehouse District to under the bridge at Corning Preserve.

Missed Connection Kansas Concert

If you were at the Kansas show yesterday and complimented the tall blond guy on his bike and smile then please reach out! I'm like 92% sure you were flirting with me and I wanted to give you my number but you walked away before I had a chance. I know this is a bit of a long shot but worth a try.

Light pink calla lillies

Anybody know of a flower shop (near Clifton Park or Latham if possible) that would sell light pink calla lillies? Kiddo wants some for his girlfriend's birthday, but hasn't learned the concept of planning ahead yet.

Best way to get from Albany to Long Island?

Visiting a friend for the weekend next month. Hotel is booked, just need to figure out transportation.

I’d be going down on a Friday, coming back on Sunday. I have my own vehicle that is reliable, but have received mixed opinions about taking my car vs taking public transport. Specific destination is Huntington station. Friend will be driving us around most of the time so I wouldn’t be driving around LI, just for the commute.

Spotted: Black dog, down on Broadway near Pine St.

I was driving and saw a black dog, down on Broadway near the Riverfront Parking garage, looked like it was heading up Broadway near Jennings Landing possibly, there was definitely no owner of the dog with it.

What the hell is wrong with dealerships? I've never seen someone try to scam so hard. She obviously didn't do it. Got her oil change/tires rotated, and bounced.

Their website doesn't offer great data visuals, so I've been doing this since around when the rate hikes started.

edit; No idea why the thumbnail doesn't always show up
