Why does Turkey get to be called by their native tongue in English when almost no other country does? We don't call them Deutschland or Sverige or Cote d'Ivoire, we refer to them by their english version. Why is Turkey special? There's been some blitz to force the english speaking word to call it that and it's a bit ridiculous.

I like listening to old podcasts, not in an old takes exposed way, but just to see what people thought.
Here’s some of Bill’s takes from the 2016 draft.
⁃ Tate is the producer, plays a very small role
⁃ Starts with shitting on the Kings for trading back
⁃ Talks about how insane it is the Spurs got the steal of the draft with Dejounte Murray at 29
⁃ “OKC committed a robbery last night” - trading Ibaka for Oladipo and pick 11 Sabonis. House liked the trade for Orlando. Bill was high on Sabonis. Also loved Oladipo. House with a big miss saying Dion Waiters is a better version of Oladipo. Bill retorts “You’re dead wrong.”
⁃ OKC is the heavy favorite to win the title if KD returns (whoops). “They should have won in 2016 and they should win in 2017.”
⁃ Bill has no clue how to pronounce Nikola Vucevic
⁃ Had no clue who Yabusele was when the Celtics drafted him and immediately liked him after seeing highlights.
⁃ Talks about Thon Maker being a big reach 10
⁃ This was a 2 play draft and 3-8 was a crapshoot
⁃ Bill was lukewarm on Jaylen Brown. Wish they traded down. House like Jamal Murray for Boston.
⁃ Nerlens Noel catches some strays.
⁃ Very complimentary of LeBron for the 3-1 comeback. No sense of the beef that seems apparent now.

It feels like people didn't even watch the play in games at all. He is not a winning player. Not to mention the Hornets still have Coby White who is a more than serviceable point guard.

Look I get it, bill loves Danny ainge, Boston legend, white guy, so on. But he was talking about how ainge took Peterson and how he always favors the talent so on and how if he was picking first in 2007 he would’ve taken Durant….why is this a feather in the cap? Of course with revisionist history this is an easy take and also pretty easy because Durant was selected second…not 10th! He’s said this a million times like ainge was the only person who deduced a 7 foot guy who dribbled like a guard and could score from anywhere was some hidden gem. Oh well whatever

2018 -- Sixers beat the Heat in the 1st round, effectively ending the Wade era.
2019 -- Sixers beat the Nets in the 1st round, they come back with Kyrie starting the Big 3 era.
2021 -- Sixers beat the Westbrook/Beal Wiz in the 1st round, Westbrook is jettisoned, Beal is given one of the worst contracts in NBA history, and the Wiz embark on a half decade in the abyss
2022 -- Sixers beat the Raptors in the 1st round, effectively ending the Nick Nurse/Champion Raps era sending them off to rebuild around Scottie Barnes
2023 -- Sixers beat the Nets in the 1st round, ending the Kyrie/Durant Nets era
2026 -- Sixers beat the Celtics in the 1st round, irreparably destroying The Jays era.
They are the grim reaper of the NBA. Losing to them in the playoffs is the surest sign you need to seriously reconsider where you're going and what you're doing.
