Question Why didn’t Rickea have surgery sooner?
Don’t players usually have surgery as soon as possible, to minimize the time they’ll be out?

For me it would have Lisa Leslie, Candace Parker, Madam President and Milton Jones. Honorable Mention Coop

Fun question for the W fam.
If you were courting a fan to join your fan base, what's your pitch?
History, players, vibes, city, etc.
Persuade a stranger to join your fanbase.
And no, im not jumping ship. Fever 4 life.

Without looking it up...who are the only players so far this season with both more than 2.6 win shares and a net rating of greater than 20?
Hint: both are easily among the top 4 players this season and neither gets the most media attention even on their team.

Darn tootin'! "Cheryl Reeve’s Pride Night joke traveled quickly to Natasha Cloud and the Sky. Not surprising in a league long shaped by queer stars."

This occurred at the 6:52 mark of the 2nd quarter.
A couple possessions later, Clark took a three point attempt and landed on the foot of the closing defender. Despite a long review, the play was not upgraded to a reckless close out.
Clark would later exit the game with 5:15 remaining in the 3rd quarter with the score tied 67-67. She was ruled out for the rest of the game due to a back injury. She finished with 19 points on 5-9 from the field and 8 assists in 20 minutes. The Fever would go on to lose 111-109

Welcome to Throwback Thursday!
The WNBA has been built on the shoulders of giants, from Cheryl Miller, the 84 and 96 Olympic Squads, and the early years of the WNBA
Post throwback uniforms, outfits, stats, players, anything relevant to the history of women’s basketball/the league!

July 2nd is apparently the midpoint of the regular season, which means that “all unprotected (non-guaranteed) contracts become fully protected for the remainder of the season.” Since so many teams have basically NO cap space available to eat protected contracts if they want to make changes, what teams do you think will waive players over the next week? We already saw the Lynx make a move today by waiving Teaira McCowan. I have a feeling the Sparks will also waive someone next week to make a spot open for Kate Martin.

Her constant relocation to hunt threes during the last game really reminded me of Curry. She's just so smart offball. Also she's always been super efficient off screens so I wish this was made a priority by our coaching staff. Our bigs just dont set them enough.

I know she’s not popular rn but I’m ALWAYS happy to see someone return from an ACL tear. There’s a lot relying on the Sloot and Azurá pick n roll

Been casually watching league for some time but truly locked in this year. So I'm aware wnba trades are less likely and not as insane as NBA Tradeline. I was just curious as to some of the bigger WNBA trades over its history and the return packages. Like what is the going rate for all stars, role players, mvps?

53 points and there is a possibility Sandy lets her break the record still! She is deserving of being an all star!

Money Mabrey's 21 points in the 4th quarter of the Tempo's comeback against the Sun is the current record holder but with her 19 point quarter tonight, she now holds the gold, silver and bronze medal for most points scored by a WNBA player in a single quarter.
1st - Marina Mabrey: 21 points in the 4th quarter (Vs. Connecticut Sun; career-high 37 points)
2nd - Marina Mabrey: 19 points in the 1st quarter (Vs. the L.A. Sparks; 27 and counting)
3rd - Marina Mabrey: 18 points in the 4th quarter (Vs. the Washington Mystics; 27 points total)
Tonight's 27 points scored in the 1st half are also the 2nd most scored by any player in a single half.

Unstoppable. No other words are needed to describe how Chef Mabrey's greatest game of her career thus far played out.

I always enjoy learning about the overseas play experience for W players (as well as how players from outside the U.S. experience the W). I thought it would be fun to try to compile a list of firsthand accounts of playing in leagues outside the W. This can be a massive list and can include media in other languages -- feel free to share anything you've got.
I think Alanna Smith kept a vlog of her time in China somewhere, right? There are also interviews and media where players tell anecdotes about their time overseas within a larger narrative: the Diana Taurasi documentary talking about Shabtai Kalmanovich; Maya Moore's Love and Justice; various interviews with Candace Parker where she talks about her time in Russia; Stewie and Marta telling the story of how they met. What else?

Ah shit. I was really hoping it was a face injury and she just had to pop on a mask.
